Best conditioner I have two yorkies and am looking for a good shampoo and conditioner to use. My 4 year old male has the cotton coat and my 4 month old female has very thick straight hair. Any suggestions? Thank you |
You'll probably end up having to get two different kinds for their two different coats. For my puppy, I use Biogroom shampoo and Pantene conditioner. As his coat changes, I'll get a shampoo and conditioner thats good for his ttype of coat... |
There are so many great hair products out there.. Our favorite is Coat Handler :) Their products are awesome and both of my dogs look incredible after their baths and for days after. My yorkie has very silky hair all the way to his backside area...Around 3/4 of the way down his body, his coat is Very cottony. This shampoo actually works well on both of his types of hair :) LOL And my maltese has a very silky coat, and does well on the product also. One other thing I use after the baths, is Bless the Beasts fur polish pomade. I love it! But I do NOT love their shampoos and conditioners...They did not work that great on my furbabies' coats. But the fur polish pomade is awesome :) I've also heard that the Plush Puppy Seabreeze oil is incredible. |
Oh, I forgot to say, the type of brush is also important. A good pin brush to have is one that does not have the little balls on the end. They break the hair. Chris Christensen makes a good one :) We bought the Gold Series pin brush and really like it. |
MY girl have a cotton coat number one for us is Pet silk (moisturizing) and coat handler is our second choice:thumbup:  |
