Don't do it!! If you let them grow out enough they will lok like ponytails and it is the cutest thing |
If you want your babies ears to stand up just shave both inside and the outside of their ears and then keep them trimmed. My babies' ears go back and forth depending on the cut. When I want their ears to stand I have them shaved otherwise I just leave them alone! The previous owner of my oldest baby would shave their ears and use upholstery glue and tape on their ears from about 2 weeks old until they went to their new homes, I find this practice cruel and inhuman. When I tried this on my last liter of pups they cried and some even bleed when the tape was removed. :( So if I were you I would just shave them and let nature take its course, unless of course you plan to "show your baby. 2 Attachment(s) I got Emma when she was 10 weeks old her ears were floppy and looked so cute but I wanted them to stand up I read on here you could tape them shave the top 1/3 of the ear and try rubbing them I was afraid to tape and I was convinced they were never gonna stand so I took drastic measures and shave all the hair off her ears and started rubbing them after a few days they started standing more and more each day till they were up a week or so passed and they were one up one floppy they flip flopped for a couple more weeks so I started rubbing again and they went back up and have stayed up ever since. Here are a couple of pics of her 1st ears floppy 2nd ears up |
4 Attachment(s) I just went through this with Koda. i shaved his ears 1/3 way down both inside and out. then taped them. It only took 2 days for the one ear and 4 for the other. Here is some before and after pics #1 8 weeks old #2 13 weeks old ok so its the opposite way around in the pics, lol! |
I don't know anything about ear-taping/shaving, because Wobie's ears were standing at 7 weeks...but I know that floppy ears sure are cute! I would've left Wobie's alone if they were floppy... |
