I think I'm crazy 1 Attachment(s) Sometimes I think Paddington doesn't look at all like other yorkies!!! I know puppies are way different than adults, but I see everyone else's pictures on here and paddington doesn't really look the same! I love him just the same, but sometimes I wonder if I was lied to by the breeder about his pedigree... -O |
He's adorable but IMO- and im no expert by far- it looks like he isnt purebred. It looks like perhaps one of his parents was 1/2 something else other than yorkie. |
Maybe he's 1/2 yorkie 1/2 chihuahua or silky terrier...either way he's adorable! |
it's his ears and snout I think....they are just so big! -O |
I have a certificate of pedigree from APRI on him, and all the dogs on it seem to be yorkies. Does this mean anything, or is it easy to fake??? I feel badly not trusting the breeder, but I've been hearing so much about scams lately. I bought paddington because I fell in love with him, not because of his bloodline, so in the end I bought the dog not the breed... still, I don't like being lied to. -O |
I don't know, but he is adorable!!! |
He is deffinately a cutie... I can see your concern about possibly being lied to... Hes your baby and you love him but if you were lied to you are entitled to know. Could he possibly have some rat terrior in him?? Either way, I wouldnt stress about it too much... he is soo cute! |

ps - being registered APRI is about as valuable as the paper it's printed on. These days anyone can register anything which is why the AKC is so important. Good luck with your little guy and just love him ....I'm sure he's alot of fun and will add so much to your life |
He looks like a red leg yorkie to me. Do a search on here on red leg yorkies and see what you think |
I'm no expert but he is adorable. To me it looks like he just needs time to grow some hair on his snout. One of mine is a little less hairy than the other but with nutritional suppliments (vitamins and missing link) she finally has hair at a year and a half.:D |
Aw, he's so precious. I could definitely see another terrier, like maybe a toy fox being mixed in, he does have a long snout. Love him just the same, he's unique! |
I don't know if he is full Yorkie or not but I know that Ellie looks different from most. She is suppose to be purebred. She has a cottony coat so it has to stay short (which I like better anyway), her nose is longer than any standard Yorkie and she has a big overbite. I don't know if her breeder was honest or not but I just let it go. She is the prettiest Yorkie Princess in the world anyway.;) |
He's absolutely adorable first of all :) I'm no expert on breeds, but I'd say quite possibly he may be a mix by some of his features. I might mention something to the breeder, although I highly doubt they would admit to selling you a non purebreed (if that is the case). And, I LOVE his ears! :) |
He looks like a silky to me. I went to yorkie & silkys online & there are some great sites to show the difference. |
I am totally clueless about breeds. All I know is he has one of the cutest faces I have ever seen. I can see personality just oozing from his pores. Me personally, I LOVE the ears. I know yorkie ears stand up and Murfees do stand up, but I love the floppy ears. Murfee was never cuter than when his ears were floppy. |
