Lori and Bre and assorted furbabies! I am sure you guys must be sooo happy to be home!! :jump28ib:Lori, I just loved those last pics, the bridges tour; what an amazing adventure this has been for you two!!! I wonder if you have any idea how you have touched and inspired soooooo many of us here on YT - you are both our resident YorkieTrain Angels.:angel2dl::angel2dl: What you did for Papi, I don't think I will ever forget; you two precious girls have truly shown me the meaning of human selflessness, kindness, compassion. Lori, you did not just read Papi's sad story about the shocking loss of his wife and then his precious Kassie; you jumped right in there and chose to take the most amazing action, bringing him his precious Patticake over so many, many miles. The gift you gave him, and all of us here at YT, encompasses so very much more than the transportation of one little pup. Bre, you have become our "cyber village" child; we are just so proud of you for taking such excellent care of Patticake. Please don't be sad; what you did for Papi will follow you the rest of your life, sweet girl. Hugs to you both, you wonderful, wonderful Angels, Lauren:clapsmile:ghug: Edit: I am sitting here typing, little Mango snoozing on my lap, wondering if our Papi will be doing the same thing with his little Patticake, while he catches up on his amazing happy ending here on YT |
This thread is so sweet! I just have to smile when I read this post!!!:) |

I apologize for my absence - I'm sorry. A good evening my dear Yorkie family, friends, First may I ask please you forgive me for my absence, and keeping you in the dark from my end 5 dy's now since I received Patticakecake from a somewhat sad, and forlorn Bre, and with her mommie's help gave Patticake to Papi, I felt terrible, knowing how attached Bre became with Patticake, if you only could have seen how much she loved Patticake, I kind of felt like I was stealing candy from a child, but Bre was a good sport, she understood how happy she would make Papi, Bre obviously has learned from this experience, and from her mother, Lori, that there is more happiness in giving, than receiving, I sadly noticed her eye's tearing up, yet I knew she in her little lady like way, her heart, I could tell she didn't want to spoil the moment, she sincerely wanted Papi to be happy, I am so grateful to have met this special young lady, I love you Bre, "cookie" thank you for caring so much about Papi. Bre, I'm sorry I missed your call last night, again Papi feels bad, I went to bed early last night, and if all right will call you at home, with your mother's permission, I am so releived, and happy you and Mommy made it home safely, Papi was very worried about your well being and safety, Lori I can only thank you for calling me every night as I requested to know each day, you and Bre were safe, as if you didn't have enough to contend with, you are such a special lady Lori, I have met many generous people in my lifetime, friends here at YorkieTalk, yet I'm sure all the friends will agree with me, we have never met someone like you, there just doesn't appear to be any end to your giving, you remind me of the Everready bunny rabbit commercial, the one that takes a licking but keeps on ticking, is there a comparison ? well only in that your heart beat's with the never ending need to give, and give, to make other's happy, I am one who has been the grateful recipient of your sacrifice for which I will never forget, I am still in awe at the trek you made of over 1,500 to Pennsylvania, and round trip, back home, had to be over 3,000 miles, how can I, anyone ever find the words that would sufficiently or ever thank you, and all the friend's, Patti, Jack, Dan & Corinne, Connie who began, and made it possible to attain Patticake in the first place, and my dear, dear friend Elaine who initiated, layed the foundation, tracks for the Yorkie Talk Patticake Train, our conductor, and news lady on the spot, what a job, kudo's and thank you Elaine, and if not for all of you my friends, your more than generous support that came in many varied way's, your prayer's, thoughful, heartfelt expressions, and those who cheered the train on, this Patticake Train would never have succeeded, in reality this is a Miracle, a dream come true for me, one for which I'll be forever grateful, and believe me friends, everytime Patticake and I interact, everyday of our live's, I will remember each of you with humility, love and thanksgiving, how can I not forget you may ask, to which I reply, if I feel I maybe forgetting you, your name's, your encouragement, your support that is, as I will never forget your love, who, and how Patticake came to me, I will only need return to these thread's, "In Memorial To Kassie Kisse's - My Precious Yorkie" and the "Patticake Train" to refresh my memory, which reminds me I need to in the next few day's, as have missed so many post. Papi, aren't you sweet to say such nice things to Brea. It's wonderful for adults to acknowledge the genuine emotions of children. We don't do that enough. Thank you for that! She certainly is a precious child. I'm so glad to hear that you and Patticake are doing well and learning to love each other. And Lori - not enough can be said about how sweet she is. She's one special lady.:) |

Hi Papi!!:wavey: It made me so happy to see your post just now!! Every day since Saturday, I try to picture you and your little Patticake, what you are doing, how you are bonding together. I laughed out loud when I read about that little "present" she left for you on the sofa her first night home. I try to imagine her first thing in the morning, yapping at you, bouncing around, taking those adorable little wild puppy dashes around the room......you scooping her up, getting your first taste of the day, those little Yorkie kisses that we all love so much. I see the two of you Papi, strolling around your neighborhood as you show her off to the mailman, the neighbors, relating to everyone the wonderful story of how she arrived in your life on this incredible Yorkie Train; I think of the outpouring of love your grieving words generated after your first post here at YT. And remember Papi, we all see your precious Kassie, perched there on the highest, greenest hill over on the Rainbow Bridge, her little tail wagging joyously as she watches Patticake and you, tread the same path she took with you every day of her life. See her Papi, she is barking her little head off, happy that her old friend is smiling once again.:littleang We all love you sweet Papi, and whenever you need us,the folk of our little Cyber Village, our arms will open wide, because you are now part of all of our hearts. Hugs to you and your little girl, Lauren:ghug: |
