I had the great pleasure of meeting Lori, Bre, Elaine and Papi today. They're are as wonderful as they sound. Theyre babies are beautiful and Patticake, well what can I say, she is just adorable. Elaine, thank you so much for the lovely lunch. Lori and Bre, drive home safely and keep us posted. Papi, I wish you many happy years with Patticake. When I left Papi was still there and Patti was napping. I live about 40 min south of Papi so hopefully he will arrive home soon. He is propably driving slowly with that precious cargo he is carrying home to NJ. Welcome to our newest Jersey Girl! |

Yes tell us more.:D |
Bre is just as sweet as can be and was having a great time playing with Elaine's children. They are right that Patticake and Bre have become very attached to each other and the separation may be hard but Bre has done a great thing taking such good care of Patti. Patti is a tiny ball a fur-you wouldn't believe the amount of hair that puppy has. Papi is a very nice gentleman who talks so lovingly of his Kassie and how much he misses her. I don't know how Lori did it-all the way from Kansas to Pa. I got lost just crossing into the next state. Of course, the mistake I made was just to check myself I stopped and asked a cop after I got off the interstate and he told my to go back in the other direction-wrong. So I was kind of late and didn't get there till around 12;30-1. of course I would have made better time if I didn't have to keep stopping to clean up puke. Knowing they are pukers, I spent alot of thing getting everything together this morning-wet ones, paper towels, plastic bags etc. but forgot my camera but Elaine, Lori aqnd Papi took alot. After about 30 miles on the road both of mine were puking (even with meds) but they are home now and sound asleep on the couch. They've had a busy day. |
We're waiting...What did Papi say, what did Papi do...was he as excited as we are!!! |
Oh yay! How lovely to see Papi with his sweet little Patticake! Now we have to all be excited about seeing photos of Patticake in her new home! Can't wait to see everyones photos, Elaine, thanks soooo much for putting us all out of our misery and posting while everyone was still there. Lori, you and Bre have a safe journey... hugs to Bre for being such a wonderfully brave and sweet little girl... what a special little girl you have, I bet you're so proud of her! |

Yaaaay!!!! |
Safe journey home Lori and Bre. Thanks so much for doing this for Papi and all the rest of us. We so enjoy the pictures and stories. Prayers are coming your way. |
What an exciting day for everyone. Papi, you must be so thrilled to have your little Patticake in your arms at last. Lori...it's such a tough job doing what you did. You're a wonderful woman to make that special delivery. I admire your stamina, your bravery and your sense of direction! lol In all seriousness...you deserve such praise for your true act of selflessness. Bre, I know it must be difficullt for you to say good-bye to Patticake, but you did such an important job! You will always be remembered by Papi (and Patticake) and by all of us here at YT for the awesome job you did of taking care of Papi's precious 'cargo'. I think you will always be a part of Patticake's life. You are obviously a very special gal who has a special gift with animals. Perhaps you might become a veterinarian when you grow up? What an amazing time this has been for everyone. Even those of us looking on have learned to keep that box of kleenex by the computer! (I don't think I've come on the computer in the past week or so without tearing up while reading something about this story). What a lovely representation of human spirit and kindness. |

We hope you don't mind but just about everyone here has 'adopted' your dad and grandpa! :) Though very few of us have met or spoken to him, he's already a very important member of our YT family. |
