Harness question Do you leave your babys harness on all the time? I am right now and I have been, but Buddahs hair was really short after his cut when they shaved him....now I'm just worried it might damage or ruin his hair. What do you think? |
I only put Ferdinand's buddy belt (like a harness) on when we go for walks. |
Gracie has her harness on only when we go out for walks or go someplace in the car, or if I am doing training and want her to drag her lead around the house. It is never on her if she is not in my sight. |
I keep their harnesses on all the time, unless they are dressed up. Course I'm home most of the time, and haven't had any problems with their hair growing out between grooming. My main concern has been since Rhapsody disappeared from the yard a few months ago. She had a her tag on and this is how we were contacted when she was found. Thank goodness she had her tags. . . |
Wobie's harness is on nearly all the time. |
I just put it on for walks. It would be convenient to keep it on all the time, but it seems like it would be uncomfortable. |
Maxwell has had his on since I got him at 12 weeks; he scratched at it for 10 days, now he doesn't seem to notice it. It has his tag on it. I check to make sure it's not too snug. My Brutus (we miss him) had his harness on for 12 years, sometimes caused mats on his belly. But after his bath he always wanted this "jewelry" back on, and would not be content until we slipped it on. Maxwell, at 5 months, acts like a maniac, when we try to get it back on, but leaving it on works best for us.. Don't use collars due the the trachea collapse problem which Brutus had, but we hope Maxwell never will. |
Joey only has his on for going "bye bye". |
bella wears a collar and she always has it on. she only has her harness on it the car or for walks. |
