Getting another puppy My mom has always wanted a Shih Tzu and turned me on to the breed. She's found a cool local breeder. In a month we're getting two puppies. So, do you think my dog will get along with them? How did you introduce a new puppy(s)? Do yorkies get along good with nonyorkies? The breeder said hih Tzus are sweeties. |
4 Attachment(s) I had a Shih Tzu for 15 years. She was the most laid back of any breed I've ever had. I personally don't think that you will have a problem. She didn't think that she was a dog, she thought that she was a person. To show you what I'm mean I'm attaching a few pictures of her. |
Thanks for the info and pics. She is so cute and sweet. :D |
You are more than welcome. Unfortunately I had to have her put to sleep a few months before she turned 15. She went into kidney failure. She really was a great dog. |
1 Attachment(s) I have a yorkie and a shih tzu poodle mix. They get along fine, however the shihpoo (Oliver) is a year younger and a little more spunky and Otis would like at times. Whenever I have to take one somewhere and leave one at home, when we return they are all over each other, forget that Mom just came home too!! My shihpoo is a total baby... This pic is old and kinda dark. I'm sure your Yorkie will be fine, and love the company. |
You are so lucky to be getting TWO new additions! Be sure to show off pics when they come home! From what I've heard, shi-tzus are much more mellow than yorkies, so that might make introducing them easier. |
