It seem like a shorter drive if you skip the Des Moines option. But it looks like a prettier drive going by the Great Lakes. |

The drive home is going to be scenic! You and Bre are going to have so much fun on the drive home! What a great bonus to get some US geography lessons in! |

May I just say that YTers are AMAZING. I am still catching up on threads from being in the hospital. I just read this from first to last thread. I cannot believe what a wonderful group of people you all are. I know I have been on the receiving end of help and prayers but this is awesome. This has got to be the most selfless giving group of people ever. I will be helping with prayers and thoughts and will send a donation to help deliver this little bundle of joyl Way to go YT |
I do think the Des Moines route may be longer, but I like it because I'm in Kewanee IL and it's VERY close...check it out...I wanna help!!! I'll understand if you go the other route, really I will. Is there any way of knowing about road construction problems on either route, that could make a difference. But I'm sure this time of year you'll get into some of that regardless. How about traffic, thru the larger cities, will that help with your decision? Just trying to be helpful...I'll keep thinking!!! |
I know this is totally OFF-TOPIC, but after watching, reading and posting in this thread during the past few days, I was started to be reminded of something...... like when a god-awful situation is miraculously rebuilt/transformed into a great, big, happy ending, thanks to the LOVE and KINDNESS of basically, well, strangers. So after reading the last few posts with Corinne and Lori etc, discussing route options in order to plan/build the best roadmap, it got me to thinking.... I now present: :bravo:EXTREME MAKEOVER- YORKIETALK EDITION!!!!!:bravo: |
