no puppy :( .. again. Well, i posted a thead about the little girl i was going to put a deposit on from northbrook yorkies. Well, my parents work and other issues, according my parents made june too much of a hectic time for a puppy, i sort of agree with them, but it just really sucks. My parents knew how excited i was, and when they told me they felt soo bad and i didnt want to make them feel worse so i told them it was fine and i understood, but right when they told me , my throat clenched up and my eyes welled and i knew i was going to cry, and i didn't want my parents to see that, they felt bad enough as it is, so i told them i had to study for finals and ran off to my room and ive been crying ever since. Im pretty used to the puppy disappointments, ive been at this for a while, but this time i was SO close, and i did the 1 thing that i KNOW i should never do, i got my hopes up. i printed all the puppies pictures and put them in my scrapbook with pictures of her parents, and picked out baby names, and picked out evreything id need online,i bought a tiny pink collar, harness and leash and i was just walking on sunshine ever since my parents said yes and i found her online. and now its all gone. my parents said that theyd really consider the next litter northbrook has because it will be at a calmer time, but that just seems so far away right now :( My dad is taking me on a shopping spree tomorrow to try and make up for it, and i know he is just trying to help, but not all the designer clothing in the world is going to replace a puppy for me. |
Awww, sweetie I am so sorry! I know you are heartbroken but you WILL get the perfect puppy, born just for you when it's meant to be. |
Try and keep your head up. Before you know it you will have a furbaby of your own!!!:animal-pa |
Awwww so sorry. Think positive. Perhaps it wasn't meant to be this time. But I am sure that when the time comes you will find the perfect little baby. Keep smiling. And show what you get in your shopping spree. |
I so know how you feel. My cousin Mike was going to give me his 2 year old lab Brooke. And she's beautiful. My husband said yes, then changed his mind. I bawled my eyes out for hours and didn't talk to him for weeks. Then he reconsidered and said I could have my small puppy. And I found Bella. The wait, is well worth it. And I think everything is meant to be in some way. I was meant to find my Bella. And you'll get the puppy you're meant to have. |
Aww I know how it feels. *hugs* Like the others have said, everything's meant to be and you'll get your perfect puppy soon enough. Stay optimistic! |
I'm so sorry! I know how excited you were...I was in the same boat when I had a couple puppy issues and had to find a new puppy and breeder. :( |
I know how you feel. I know you'll get that perfect puppy soon. You'll see. |
I feel for you as I've been in that same position. I know it's not what you want to hear but think of it this way you now have more time to research how to make everything extra perfect for your fur baby. Maybe get a book on training/tricks so you won't be learning at the same time you're trying to teach your baby? Or you could start looking into the less exciting, but very important things, such as a good vet in your area, type of food you plan on feeding your baby (and what you shouldn't feed it!), signs of health problems so you're aware if something ever seems off with your new puppy (hopefully, everything will be great!), etc. You may not be getting your puppy right now but you WILL be getting one and it will be worth the wait! :) |
I'm so sorry! It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into your new pup and were all set to give her a perfect loving home. The positive thing is that you know you will have your furbaby one day soon...if I may make a suggestion, there are lots of dogs who don't have as great a hope of finding a loving home. Maybe during your shopping spree you can pick up some items for a local animal shelter. Your kind donations might help you feel better while you wait for the next litter to be ready...knowing that you are helping out other animals in need while you wait. It will be worth the wait and before you know it, a little puppy will have chosen you to be its mommy <3 |

I also went to the website for Northbrook. I do not know them but from the site, it looks like your family found a good breeder. I think it would be a good place to get your new pup from. |

aww, I'm so sorry! I agree with Lorraine though..if June is too busy for your family, it's better if you wait. You'll find that perfect puppy, just a matter of time. |
I had really rough time with right timing and right environment as well. SO I know how you feel... Time will come!! Don't give up :) |
Maybe they are planning a little graduation surprise for you??? ;) like a little baby girl to fill in the pink collar?? do you think that that is a possibility? |
It took me a little over a year - Maybe more like18 months (and no shopping spree) to get my puppy. Hang in there - They do take a lot of your time - So if you are busy for June -Wait for next litter. I know it'll seem like forever - but the wait is worth it. |
Thanks evrey1 for all the support, only 112 days till the june litter is 12 weeks old..and im pretty sure summer will fly by Quote:

anticipation is making you wait I feel for you. My first yorkie, I had to wait a year before my husband agreed to it and boy oh boy was Brutus worth the wait. We now have Maxwell. I searched 15 hours online (didn't know about Yorkie Talk, then) and found him. You will get the perfect puppy and you'll forget about what seems a loooong wait. |
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that :( I know how excited you were about this pup. But when it's time, you'll get the right pup for you. You'll get the pup that was meant to be with you :) |

I know how you feel - I've been wanting a dog since I was 12. I'm 19 now... and no dog. (not to scare you, lol. Half of it was my parents unwillingness and half of it was my laziness/irresponsibility.) So now I'm older and I have my heart set on a Yorkie. I've been waiting awhile myself! I had planned on a Yorkie this summer, but of course my parents decided that this summer was a GREAT time to get some renovations done. Obviously I can't bring a dog into the house if people are stomping in and out all day and the bathroom is half-gone. Now I have to wait till December or so to get a dog. It's actually worked out well this way, I have no college from December 22-January 28 (or whenever) so I have a month to devote to the puppy. And most breeders aren't even breeding until July-August, so puppies won't be ready till mid-December to early January. Things always happen for a reason, just hang in there! I really truly know how you feel. |
