CKC and AKC ? Can a Yorkie registered with CKC breed with a Yorkie registered with AKC? Will you be able to register the puppies? |
you can do them ckc hi i understand you can register them thru ckc , but first the akc one must be registered thru ckc first, akc will not tho accept ckc dogs so that litter would have to be done ckc |
I agree. And generally, AKC is considered "better". Although Gin is CKC. But I love her for her. CKC is an easier registery. Which translates to the rules not being quite so stringent. |
CKC dog + AKC dog = CKC puppies. AKC will not accept them. AKC is generally the "best" club, and has stricter requirements. CKC, if I remember right, just wanted a pic of your dog and someone to verify that you had the dog... lol. |
AKC is more well known. I am not going to say who is better and who is not as I personally don't know and since I don't "show" my dogs I personally don't care about the registration. I have a CKC dog and I LOVE HER. He dad was AKC but her mom was CKC so she has to be CKC. My other yorkie is not registered at all and again I don't care.;) |
I feel the same way You know, I don't care either. My dogs are AKC but that's never meant any thing to me. I just bought a Yorkie who is CKC. A friend who has a female inquired about breeding sometime in the future and her girl is AKC. I didn't know if there was a rule or not. I do no that people are hung up on the AKC group rather than CKC. I'm like others who have posted, I love my dogs no matter what their initials are. |
I'm with you Myla57 I really don't care as I won't be showing my puppy rather she will be ALL mine to enjoy as a pet/companion. As long as the babies are healthy & bring you joy... that's what counts. ;) |
romeo is CKC and that is just fine with me. i did want my puppy to have papers but it did not matter if they were AKC or CKC because i do not plan on showing him either. he is a beautiful, happy, healthy bundle of joy and that is all that matters to me! |
