Is it possible for a 6 month old puppy to have NO grown up teeth yet? My vet doesn't believe so but I wondered if experienced breeders have ever encountered this happening. I know they retain their baby teeth but can they be that old and not have any adult teeth starting at almost 7 months? |
I hope someone is able to answer this for you...for i have yet to experience this... |
No one? |
Max lost his baby teeth so fast within 1 week that I didn't even know he was losing them until they were almost gone. The girls I would find a tooth once in a while. Most of the time they just swallowed them. By 7 months all were gone but their canines. Never heard of them still having all their baby teeth at 7 months except once. A friend got a small dog, the breeder said she was 14 weeks. Took her to the vet, & the vet said the breeder lied. The puppy was only 6 weeks. So that's a 2 month difference. So at 7 months it was only 5 months old & was just starting to lose it's teeth. |
my poor austin is 2 years old and still is missing a few teeth inc. his k9 it doesnt bother him he just had one come in last week so were hopeful that the others will come my vet said all you can do is wait ........ |
I don't know. My vet questioned the age of both my pups based on their teeth eruption. I'm wondering if some toy breeds are not just real slow in tooth development. The first time I thought maybe the breeder just didn't tell me the correct age but I really believed the second breeder & the age she gave me. |
