snuggles getting sick got me thinking... As i read the post on puppyelite..i started looking thru my folder of the babies info and found the reciepts to where we got snuggles and snitch.. When i bought snuggles the place was called JG quality pups, on 2434 stillwell avenue, on Brooklyn and its S & V Qulaity pups now. Has anyone here brought a baby from there?.. I'm not complaning as i love my babies and so far havent had a serious problems..But just wondering. I dont feel i was over price since i pain 850 for snuggles 4 years ago and 800 for snitch 2 years ago. they are teapots even though the man working there did have smaller one that he was selling for more. but i wanted my big babies. so let me know and i see now they have a website, which wasnt up when i got snuggles. http://www.svqualitypups.com |
Why worry? It sounds like they're fine, thank God. |
It sounds like they're healthy, so that's good, but everything that I have read about S&V has been negative. Many people have bought pups that have ended up sick, so I'm so happy that you're babies are doing great :) |
aye ..i am lucky:4lc:..my babies picked me.:teethysmi ..they though i was worthy!!:notworthy |
I"ve heard bad things about them too, but just be happy you have your healthy little babies. My boy Bentley also came from a well known puppy mill, but I bought him before I knew better at a pet store, then only found out about his life beginings when I googled the breeder. Thankfully my baby boy is healthy too :) |
Just got a puppy from s & v quality pups!!! May 2007! Hi- I am posting because i just got an adorable puppy from s & v pups. I picked S & V after i babysat for my friends yorkie who was one of the best dogs i have ever encountered. She got him at S & V and took me there the day that she got home from vacation. I have had my puppy for a week and a few days and so far everything is going really great. We took her to the vet and they said she was very healthy and she is doing really well on puppy training, no accidents in 3 days. I definitely got taken on the price..i paid 2,000, which is not outrageous for the city, but pretty high for Brooklyn...funny thing is that i knew at the time i was getting scammed, but the puppy was so cute and supposedly had the same father as my friends, there was NO way I was leaving without her. Right now, she is 14 weeks and 2lbs 1oz. It is funny bc after i got home, it went through my mind that she was probably younger and they just made up her birthday, but then the vet confirmed that she was likely around that age. All in all, my opinion of S & V quality pups is mixed..the place is kind of dingy, the guy who sells the dogs is a bit scamish, i didn't feel overly comfortable and still don't, BUT on the other hand, my friend got 2 great dogs there (one yorkie and one maltese) and they are both WONDERFUL and healthy and my little one is doing great..so if i was scammed, it was a good scam! I heard that Celtic puppy breeders in Long Island is supposed to be really good..that was where I was originally going before i found out where my friend got her puppy. I hope this review helps...the other thing i wanted to comment on was about the ceasar puppy mixed with the high-end dry food. I asked my vet and she said that she was fine with my puppy eating the ceasar food mixed with dry food until she is 6 months because yorkies are known for being finicky eaters and mine was a little thin and she was happy that she was eating. She recommended Royal Canin dry food, they have a formula specific to yorkies when she is an adult. Would be happy to answer any questions about my purchase!!! |
Now that's love! You're lucky he's healthy, which is all that matters. As I read your post, I certainly related. You knew the place had mixed reviews, you knew you were overpaying, but you fell in love and took him home right away! I had a similar experience with Max who I bought at Puppy Boutique in Brooklyn. I didn't overpay, but I still think he's from, a puppy mill. He also, thankfully turned out healthy, and I love him so much. |
