help!! charlie ate a worm  so its been raining and storming here in mich for the past 2 days straight, i put the kids out first thing this morn like always, went in poured a coffee went back to check on them and there it was hanging half way out of his mouth:animal36 a big fat worm:eek: so i sream charlie drop it and before i could get to him down it went all the way in his belly omg... should i call the vet? or is that something nature just allows.ewwwww |
Other than being yucky to watch, I don't think the worm will do any harm to him. Mine have eaten flies, crickets, regular ants, the odd bug. It's amazing what these guys find appetizing!! The worm isn't going to hurt him, I'm quite sure, tho. |
Give him some tequila.:D Seriously, it shouldn't be harmful at all. |
No Dont Call Vet Mine Eat Them Too ... 1 Day My Husband Showed Buddy A Worm And Now Thats All He Does And The Other Day Maddy My Little Girl Yorkie Carried A Dryed Up 1 In The House In Her Mouth And Drop It On The Floor,,, So I Dont Think It Will Hurt Them Just Something For Them To Get Into...there Just Like Kids Everything Gos In There Mouths!:) |
My Jo-Jo used to pull them out of the ground like a Robin on a daily basis and they never hurt him. I pulled so many from his tiny mouth (squishy and gross!) but I finally gave up. I don't think they affected him in any way...he's a little goofy but I don't think that had anything to do with the worms! ;) |

Be prepared to pull it out the other end soon too, lol. Extra protein, but it shouldn't hurt him. |
Ewwwww...gross! I like the comment about extra protein! |
Maybe he thought it was sphagetti!:p |
romeo has chewed up so many bugs outside that i have lost count! it has not hurt him at all. |
Hey I hear they are good protein and if it was good enough for the fear factor contestants on tv to eat ...hey your baby will be fine!!! :) but you are so right they pick up everything!!!!! :D |
Mackenzie likes to eat the dried up "worm jerky" ones that are around in the summer time :p yucky! |

Simon ate a worm once and yes, I called the vet. He said there shouldn't be any problems and that they will eat worms, bugs, etc. and that it would be ok and it was. Well, besides just being gross :) |
