i have never tried it but i have also heard canned pumpkin works. not the spiced kind, just regular canned pumpkin..... |
here is a good thread on it :)http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78816 |
Well, low-fat/non-fat yogurt is good for their tummies...Also, make sure the area around the butt is trimmed because many times they can get constipated and backed up due to the fact that it gets stuck on the hair and then can't poop it out. |

How old is your dog? If he's not geriatric, most things I've read say the causes are diet and/or exercise related. Increase his level of exercise and examine his diet. As for a quick fix, I too have heard canned pumpkin is good. Probably worth a call to the vet too. |
here is another link to read. http://www.dog.com/information/constipa.asp |

1 teaspoon I found on the internet that it is 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon for dogs under 15 pounds. I gave her 1 teaspoon and almost immediately she went outside and took came of her business. She still isn't regular yet and I am still giving her the pumpkin. |
Thats good glad it is better. Have you looked at her diet? maybe the food? |
The vet made me change her food to Purina One with Salmon because she had that digestive infection and was at the vet for three days about three weeks ago. |
