Is anyone else guilty of this??? ;) I am just wondering if anyone else is guilty of always carrying their little yorkies around? I find myself carrying Autumn all the time that my family and neighbors tease me that if she lost her legs it would not matter because she rarely uses them. A neighbor of mine saw me carrying her outside yesterday and told me I better put her down or I would make her neurotic. I told him I could not put her down because she did not have a leash on and she would run in the street  and we certainly can not have that. But I will admit that I do carry Autumn around a lot. Can anyone else say the same????:aimeeyork Im hoping I am not the only one! |
I WOULD carry Betty around more if she'd let me!! Miss Independence gets fidgety and wants to get down! |
I've begun to take Max on long walks just about every day. I found a really nice harness that he'll wear and I find that he really is much calmer and seems to enjoy it a lot. I do pick him up if the street is dirty. (There's a lot of construction in NYC). I'm getting a lot of exercise too, and it's so relaxing just to take a walk with your dog. |
i carry bella alot too. we do go on long walks alot bc she takes FOREVER to go potty, but as soon as she is done i usually pick her up and carry her in....plus, she always wants to come with me in my bag so i am carrying her around in that as well.....hehe |
I'm guilty :( EVERYONE makes fun of me for it too. I don't really want to have to take Bella inside and wash her feet time and time again. And I know she is a dog.. but still what if she steps on a pebble or something. Plus when she is down she eats things; likes pebbles and dead bugs and stuff. *gross* When my boyfriend is around he FORCES me to walk her on her leash and harness; and she LOVES it. She prances around like shes the boss of the operation. But I usually carry her. Just makes things easier I think. |
Dior loves to walk. The only time she is carried while on walks, is if i see a pittbull or rottie:eek: |

There's also this half dirt, half grass spot that he LOVES to roll around in. I think it must be a lot of fun to be a dog! |
lol iam also guilty of never leaving karleigh down for more then a few min, i also carry her around the house from room to room:rolleyes: when im doing dishes at the sink she will jump on the back of my legs to pick her up, she is very spoiled and knows it:D |
I don't carry Autumn on walks, she walks on a leash but around the house I am always carrying her. I tell my hubby she is the third child that I wanted and couldnt have. I also tell him look on the bright side you dont have to pay for college or a wedding!:) |
I'm guilty of the opposite. I rarely carry buddah. I pick him up and give him kisses. He likes to be held like a baby and have his belly rubbed. if we are outside there is no way he is allowing me to carry him. He likes to walk. If by walking I mean trying to run haha |
I don't like to carry them around too much as I am afraid they will try to jump, but my dtr and husband like to carry them. |
Well I will pick Nathan up and take him down the porch stairs to go outside and let him go ....where i live I have a large open space with nothing around so the only time I have him on a leash is when we go to petsmart or out and about away from home!! As far as in the house?? he likes to follow me around or if I am in one room, venture to another to try to get into mischief so i constantly have to keep my eye open on his whereabouts and he will usually come runnning if I call his name in that stern Mommy voice!!!:D As for just carrying him? If he is unfamiliar surroundings he wants me to hold him ...if its a place he knows...he is ready to get down and go!!! |
My hubby calls me "Paris Hilton" because I'm always carring Clemantine around.! |

LOL, Ginger and Bernie are too heavy to carry around;) But I was extremely guilty of this with my 6 lb shihtzu, Shelby. She lived 15 years, and I bet she only spent 5 of them on the ground:rolleyes: |
