Poop Eaters? Alright, I have a total of Four Yorkies and one Morkie. NONE but this last little girl ever ate poop. We got our nine week old Yorkie girl this past Friday and for the past two days she has been trying to eat her poop or Tia's poop. I had a dog that did this all the time. My vet told me to sprinkle meat tenderizer on his food. I did and he never ate poop again!:thumbup: |
Bella eats her poop...sometimes while its still coming out :( EWE! It is so disgusting!!! Anyhow; I have spent over 100 dollars on products in pet stores and the vet's office. Nothing works. They told me the food she eats is too rich and she still asumes it's food. I have tried changing her food that doesnt work either. She has been tested for al sorts of things; nothing wrong. Just a poop eater. I here that they do out grow it sometimes...I hope she outgrows this!:) |
I want to say, I think it was last week I saw Bailey had a dried up piece of poop in his mouth but I quickly told him NO and he dropped it and at other times I find him smelling it or maybe even licking it (sometimes I can't tell) but anyway then I saw that he had threw up so I guess maybe he did eat one but he came back up :rolleyes: .......I don't think Bailey is a poop eater though because this is one of the first times I saw him do this, I guess he is just getting bored or curious, one of them LOL |

Gosh, I can't believe after 2 years I am still posting that I too have 2 Poop Eaters :eek: :eek: :eek: I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun! Forbid Deter Solid Gold - Stop Eating Poop Accent Meat Tenderizer Spianch Pineapples Zucchinni Alpalpha Brewers Yeast Annis Seed and I am sure many other things that didn't work so I've forgotten about them The ONLY thing that is working right now is what I am feeding them: Frozen RAW food (Either Nature's Variety or mOrigins) Sardines (mixed with probiotics, garlic tabs, fish oil) Their poop now is appartently so UNAPPEALING. It doen't smell like poop, it has a slight smell of garlic and it is so tiny and it pretty much is coming out dry and flakey and within a few mintues of sitting there the rest of it dries up and is a white dry flakey poop. They are not completely 'cured' b/c there is still an occasional tasting, but for the most part, finally I think we may be coming to an end. Also, I do such a POOP PARTY. We dance and sing on our way to flush the poop and then they both get a treat, so this also helps a lot ;) |

Yes regular Meat Tenderizer...BUT - if you are going to try it, you might as well just get ACCENT - b/c that's the ingredient in the meat tenderizer they are speaking of (without all the other crap in the meat tenderizer). |
boy yorkies i have a wonderful little boy and his name is trip.he was 7 months old when he came to live with us he immediatley started humping the schnauzers so i had him fixed that stoped but ever since then he will start licking himself and his penis will extend all the way out at first i thought it was his intestines or something because it was 2 days after his surgery ..has any one else had this problem? he seems to do it for the heck of it :confused: would like to here from other male yorkie owners. he is so funny he seems so proud of his self when he does it. |

see now, Kayah doesn't eat her own poop.. oh no!! She eats other dogs poop!! ahh! She doesn't do it much anymore.. well hasn't for a little over a month.. But It's hard for me to go outside with her.. We never had this problem till Angel came to live with us. Sissy is right there to start eating Angel's poop (totally disgusting, I know!), then because Sissy is eating it, Angel will also!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! |
Ive heard of people putting a little tabasco on the terd. |

Pixie eats my other 2 dogs poop of I am not super vigilent. Maya did when she was a puppy but stopped after awhile. Pixie is 1 1/2 so I don't know if she will stop. |

Poop eaters! Our Yorkie is trained to go toilet outside or inside on a newspaper (well, she is 90% trained). But when she makes a mistake indoors she picks up her poop and carries it to her bed, where she chews it up. We suspect she is trying to 'hide' her misdemeanour! Obviously even our mildest comments are making her feel guilty. I am not sure how to get her out of this habit, but for starters we will never again comment when she poops in the house. A few weeks ago I told her that if she doesn't try harder with the toileting thing I was going to buy dolly diapers for her to wear. Mmmmmmmmm!! Perhaps that explains a lot! :D |
