just a thought I wish there were more dog friendly restaurants and stores. My Gizzie loves to go places but the only place she can go is to the pet store or vet. i can understand about inside restaurants but what's the harm if you sit on the patio? as long as they are not barking or acting up and they are leashed. i guess they have their reasons but it breaks my heart when i have to leave her at home and i can hear her crying b/c she wants to go too. in italy and paris you will find a dog under a table in a 5 star restaurant. i know its for health reasons but i hate leaving her. maybe i should take her to Paris:)theres an idea!! |
there are a few doggie friendly restaurants here in Atlanta..in fact one has a doggie happy hour!! I haven't been yet but plan to go soon....:) And I believe these restaurants have outdoor patios...but will know more when I go and will post results..really curious to see how they operate and the food etc.. |
i live in Wilmington nc and to my knowledge we dont have anything like that. wish we did that would be a great business opportunity for the right person. |

The other day, I had to run into a convenience store for 5 seconds...I carried Betty in. The lady behind the counter yells, "You can't bring that dog in here"...like she had leprosy or something. The clincher is the worker had no front teeth, scraggly hair and a messy T-shirt!!!!!  |
People in stores/restaurants etc. can be so rude when telling you to get out with your dog. The rudeness just frosts me! And I know - it's not allowed, but hey - I don't want to leave my dog in the car to be stolen, or suffer heat exhaustion. This is the instances that I just have to have her with me for whatever reason, and I have to make a stop on the way to the destination (groomer, vet, peoples houses for play dates for puppies).......... Rudeness is not necessary :( |

Milo will be going to Paris, South of France, Tuscany and Switzerland. Last time I was in Paris--I watched a dog eating crepes in a restaurant for breakfast with it's owner. Health reasons--still trying to figure that one out---it's not as if the dogs are going into the kitchen to prepare peoples food, dancing on the tables or the like. I worked in restaurants for 15 years and there are much dirtier things going on then a dog could ever compete with.;) |
have a great trip milo will love paris:) you should get him a little buret.. spelled wrong probably... but you get the idea that would be so adorable |
LOL your baby probably looked better than her!!!! :) lol |
