Wandering pup OKay well today I went to see my mom and I saw this little white dog wandering in the road, he was soo cute and so I made my friend stop and he came to me. He had a collar and so we called the number and they said they didn't have a dog. So then we went to the house and no one anwsered the door. So then we called the vet that was listed on the rabies tag, and they gave me a different phone number to call. Well it ended up being McDonalds phone number so that was of no help. So then we called the vet back and they told us the name of who owned him. Well I jsut happened to know who it was, and I knew his daughter worked at the gas station and so we took him down there. She was there and so he found his home again. She said he has been escaping this week for no reason. So this time i returned him, next time I'm not so sure. If they know he is getting out then they should make more of an effort to keep him safe. He could have been hit by a car. But anyways he was just the cutest thing, he looked kinda like a Benji....so I guess it was my good deed of the day! Just wanted to share! ;) |
i wish some one would have brought my basset hound back ( suzy) well it amost been two years since she been gone so i guess some body stoled her :( i wish someone as nice as you would have brought her home to me i can post pictures if u want to see her ;) |
Did you explain the difficulties of tracking her (the owner) down? I'd say not only do they need to keep a better eye on their dog but they need to update his tag with the correct phone number/info. as well as update the records at the vet. They are lucky! Nice job! |
Yes i told them that the number didn't work, she said it had been disconnected and I informed her that someone else now had this number and not everyone would have called all around the world to find out who's dog it was. She said yes i know I need to get a new tag, I was like yeah. and Yorkielover_201..yes i'd love to see a picture of your beloved basset hound.. i'm sorry she never returned home. Hopefully someone nice found Suzy and is taking good care of her, even though it's sad they didn't bring her back. |

Very nice deed, I must say! Very nice effort. There are not a lot of people out there. I guarantee if my Stomper got out...no one would return him. Sad, eventhough he has tags people would take him because he is so darn cute! |
