New Owner Hi everyone, im new to this so, here it goes, I got my very on princess on thursday, shes is 10 weeks old, i work 3 days a week and i had to leave her on her own for the first time today, she cried when i left the house and also when my boyfrind left, is this normal, i dont work to far from home so i am going to visit her everyday at noon, but i dont know if is should because i will have to leave her again, also shes biting, but i think its just because she is teething, help, i feel so sad becuase i left her |
Hey there. The biting is teething. Everytime she bites, tell her no and offer her one of her toys or ideally a small hard teething bone. As far as leaving her alone; My concern is that you make sure at noon that you try to feed her some food and also keep Nutri cal on hand. How much does she weigh? Little ones, can go hypoglycimic on you if their sugar drops. You may want to give her a little ribbon size full of nutri cal before you go to work. I'm hoping that she's not a tiny? Does she weigh over two pounds? Elaine |
Hi and welcome to YT:) Congratulations on your new pup . It is normal for them to be a little upset when getting used to beng left alone. Just make sure you give her lots of love and that she has all she needs when you leave. It will get better. As for the bitting I use the redirect method. if she bites tell her no and give her a toy that she can chew on and tell her good puppy when she does. Good luck and Welcome again. |
yeah, she weighs 3.5 pound, shes in great health and she gets her vitamins 4 times a day and shes eatin great, i just feel so sad leaving her, |
My dogs still cry when I leave the house and one of them is almost 6. They stop once I am gone. As far as the bitting, I agree w/the other people. That is good if you can come home at noon, it will help w/getting her to go potty outside. Good luck, post some pics!:) |
Hi and welcome! Everyone has given you great advice so far so I won't repeat any of it. Except... post some pictures of your baby! :D |
