We could make a difference! I just wrote my letter to the Editor for my local newspaper. If we all would write one, it could save someones pet. here is what I wrote: Unleashed Animals It is approaching almost 1 year since I lost my precious Kloey, a 6 lb Yorkie who I adored. Not only was she a very loved pet, she was a family member! She was hit by a car on Harrison St. It was a tragic accident that should not have happened. These types of accidents can be prevented. I was driving to work today and was going down Fort Wayne St. when a small dog ran right out in front of me! Luckily I was not driving fast and was able to slow down so this pet could cross the street. To the owner of this pet, your very fortunate that it was me who was driving and not someone that was on a cell phone, or messing with there radio or someone who was in such a hurry to get somewhere that they were not paying attention and could have hit this innocent dog. Other people will not be so lucky this summer, someone, somewhere will lose there pet and family member to a accident that could be prevented. All it takes is to make sure your pet is leashed! Make sure your fence gate is locked! It is your responsibility to take care of your pet. You have vowed to take care of your pets safety when you brought him/her home. Your pet is counting on YOU! I will !! I have all the email addys for my local tv and papers saved....Can I copy and use yours ?? Even though it doesn't apply to me - it does have impact ...I'll say a 'friend' wrote it. |

Missy it is a GREAT idea, and a great chorus is formed when many voices sing their part. If each one of us wrote a letter and in doing so saved one furpet's life, just think of the vast number of doggiepets and kittypets that would be spared. Two thumbs up for you!:thumbup: :thumbup: |

I think that's a great idea! I'll write a letter and, in fact, I will also write one for my daughter to send to her local newspaper. She lives in the country and it sometimes seems like a "dumping ground" for people who decide they no longer want their pets.:mad: She is always finding a stray dog wandering around. She almost hit a stray dog on her street one day, couldn't find the owner, so she ended up keeping her. |

they will publish it, it's a local "speak out" section in the news paper. I appreciate you letting me know about the grammer, but honestly, I don't care lol |
