Nigerian Yorkie Scam BEWARE!

Oh my... I can't even believe this! These Nigerian Scams are getting bigger and bigger....

I was just poking around looking at Yorkies on the web yesterday because I am going to buy a little girl soon. I came across an add on craigslist. "Summer is coming, I am too busy to care for this little girl, free to good home" So I write, ask for some more information... already it's sounding fishy to me!! I ask about the health of the yorkie, where she came from, etc... and THIS is what I get back.......

YEAH RIGHT!!!!! It just doesnt sound right... So i do some more research (google) and come to find out that this is a nigerian scam! Here is another one of their adds.... http://classifieds.agriscape.com/ad/99192/en/

Just be careful! I really believe this is one of the Nigerian Scams that are getting so popular now... It's a shame! If you type in Nigerian Yorkie in google TONS of info comes up! It's scary! "Just pay shipping" Yeah right! Don't be fooled! :thumbdown

I ran into one of those scams when I was looking for a puppy. Its a good thing I didnt want to have a puppy shipped to me overseas...the thought did not sit well with me. The ad attracted me because they were asking for only $400. I didnt know it was a scam until months later. Oprah had an episode about scams and Nigera came up. They didnt talk about the puppy scams but the other ones were just as bad. Here is the email I received back in september:

Dear Karla Jones,

Thanks for interests,sure the Puppy still available for sale,the puppy health is %100 OK! (+1 year health Guarantee), 1st shots,13 weeks older, AKC registered, de-wormed,de-clawed. Baby is so animated and will keep you entertained for hours. She really had her own distinct personality.Loving and very affectionate personalites are standard with other animals. She is very affectionate and like to give kisses all the time. She is cool with kids and friendly with other pets!

I will have the puppy ship along with her certified health certificate, and vaccination and worming record, copy of USDA paper, AKC registration application for the puppy, its pedigree, tips on care and training your puppy, and your puppy's guarantee.also the airline ticket, an approved carrier with a soft, comfortable bed, health certificate from my vet, a puppy pack including sample food your pup has been eating, a tube of nutri-cal,I also include a special gift to your puppy from me.Everything you will need will be taped to the top of your puppy's carrier.

All of her documents are upto date.

if i saw anything listed anywhere that had ties to nigeria i would stay away from it! you would have to be very,very desperate - and i guess that is what they are counting on along with stupid! - to buy a puppy to be shipped from another country when all you have to do is a little searching sometimes to find one.

part-termly is that even a real word!!?? LOL

It always easy to pick out a scammer because the grammar and spelling is always horrible.

you are so right - they can not spell or make a complete sentence to save their lives.
