My boys are leaners My two boys are 8 yrs old and they have never lifted their leg or squated. They just stand there and lean slightly forward  To each his own I guess :grin2: |
Well, our boys...Reese and Kiko just turned 6 months old and they are still squatting.....which we love! We were told by our vet that they need to be around 7 to 8 months before she like to fix them..... We are hoping that they don't become leg lifters by then. I was told that alot of the time if you do get them fixed before they start lifting, that they usually continue squatting! I'd be curious to know if this is true! |
Codie was neutered at 6 months but he has NEVER EVER EVER marked in the house. Sometimes he tries to mark when I take him for a walk but I don't care about that ... as long as it's not in the house LOL :D |

:eyetearss LOL Chloe's almost 6 months and lifts HER leg  We have no male dogs, I really don't know where she got this from!? LOL |
Samson will be 6 months old on May 4 and he still squats... I want to have him fixed as soon as possible, but his grapes have not come down yet.... I am beginning to think they aren't going to drop and the vet will have to go in and get them.... he has no sac and looks just like he has been nuetered already.... I keep checking everyday but nothing.... the vet said to give him a little more time he still might grow up.... he is still under 3 lbs so he is pretty small still... Have any of you had this problem????? P.S. Oh I mean..... have any of you had this problem with your male dogs..... I don't want any personal information..... Just wanted to specify this... |

tobey started lifting his leg really early, like 10 weeks? he started peeing on the wall instead of the potty pad, so now I have to tape the pad so it covers the first few inches of the wall. it works fine that way. He doesn't mark and never has, we got him neutered really early though at exactly 16 weeks, 4 days old. |
Chewie is a 6 month old squatter. He doesn't even mark when we go on walks. Maybe he has a gender identity disorder since he was neutered at such a young age.;) Seriously, I have heard that the "lifting of legs" is a learned trait that the little boys learn from seeing the more experienced boys do it. |
Yogi started lifting his leg when he was about 4 mos old and he too lifts it so high, i think he's going to fall over, very funny. Bogus on the other hand is 8 mos old and has never lifted his leg...one squatter and one lifter:D I'd rather have a squatter.... |
