how can you tell when they are trained? We got our little boy last weekend. Knock on wood-he hasn't had an accident in the house yet. We take him out about every hour, or when he starts going in circles. How will I be able to tell when he is trained, or get him to let us know he has to go outside. I don't want to let him go longer, and have him have an accident, but eventually I want him to let me know when he has to go. |

i don't have any advice because since we got ours in January and it was snowing here, he wouldn't go outside, so we had to use puppy pads. we started out like you, but just taking him to the garage instead to go on a potty pad. That got old really quick, so i found that him going on a potty pad in the house in a particular place that you pick, has worked WONDERS!! some people think it's gross but it allows tobey to go when he needs to and do it on his own. I'd say he was fully trained by 10 weeks (we got him at 71/2). now he is almost 5 months. Good luck, sorry i don't have any advice with training him to tell you when to go outside. |
