Hello Everyone 1 Attachment(s) I am new here and searching for help/advise. I own two Yorkies, I received Jazzie three years ago for my birthday and last Christmas I received Bear-Rock as a Christmas gift from my husband (it’s really his baby) Jazzie is 5 1/4# and Bear-Rock was 4# when I got him in Dec., he just turned 6 months yesterday and as you can see there is a big difference in size, I went to my doctor on the 9th leaving Jazzie locked up and when I got home my nephew told me she was crying and he let her out to play and the two had tied together. I was under the impression that male dogs could not breed before 6 – 7 months. Is this just a wives tail? I thought about having Jazzie neutered but never did it. I tried to make an appointment with her Vet, he is out of town and will not be back until next week, my husband feels that she will be okay if she is pregnant but I have been a nervous wreck ever since, does anyone have any advice, am I worried for nothing? |
No idea but I am sure someone will. Welcome to YT |
Welcome to YorkieTalk. Sorry, I don't know either. |
Welcome to YT. Well, around June 10th you might have some puppies. Talk to your vet when he gets back. My Sunnie is 5lbs and she's had puppies. If she is pregnant, you'll get lots of help here. I didn't want Sunnie to have puppies in the winter. Hubby thought that she was sad locked in the ex-pen so he let her out to "play". Obviously we both forgot to tell Rocky  about the "no winter puppy" plan. She had 2 puppies. |
Thank you all for the welcome I am so worried because of the difference in there size, will her babies be too big for her to whelp safely? Sorry, I did not introduce myself, my name is Hulda, I have two daughters and three granddaughters, we all live in the state of TN, three hour away from each other but visit often, my husband and I are retired and trying to enjoy life with our fur babies. |
