Real Yorkietalk? Do you do that? The bathroom thread inspired me to this one: My husband and I speak for the dogs a lot. Like "Mommy, can I have a treat? Look how cute I am, I really deserve a treat don't you think?" or "Are you leaving? I can come you know! I dono't have plan, so I can come along! I really want to. You should take me, it'll be fun dad, I'll be real good!" We do it with a childish, high pitched voice - but the REALLY funny thing is, sometimes we actually answer the other like if we were talking to the dog: "No, sweetie, I know you'd be good, but I'm going to work, I can't have you with me" And it can turn into a regular conversation: "But mommy, why can't you take me. Look how cute I am! You really should take me. I need to be with you, I need to, I need to, I need to!" "Yes baby, but mommy is gonna earn money for cats (we call treats cats since there are no dogtreats small enough we buy cattreats and there is a picture of a cat on the bag, therefore the treats must be bits of cats) and food for you and my boss won't like it if you are there." If anyone heard us having a conversation where one adult mand or woman was pretending to be a dog and a grownup answering the dog and debating different issues, they would take us away to the looney house... We also play with long or difficult words, for example will Kali try to "paficy" us when we are acting crazy instead of pacify. Kali also went to the "spital" (hospital) where she got a "peration" (operation) to fix her teeth. When we're driving in the car "Kali" will sometimes describe what we are passing to Mare - Mare is the little one and Kali is of course responsible for her getting to know the world and it's ways. We have tons of fun with this - anyone else out there doing something similar? |
Kewtee, I talk to Gucci like that all the time. Like babyish. My hubby thinks im crazy. I even tell her go with daddy, and he looks at me like I lost it. lol  |
Yeah, my boyfriend and I do that too. The funny thing is that we talk for both of the dogs like they are having a conversation! And we talk for ourselves too. It's a four-way conversation with 2 people. My parents see us do and think we are nuts. |
We used to do that all the time with Gracie and Scruffy (RIP)! They would chat about their day at "pweschool" and Kindergarten!!!! Wexy is still in imaginary "daycare!" |
I talk to and for Simon and Hallie all the time! Except I don't have anyone to answer so I do that too! Talk about sounding like a looneytune!! They have great conversations all the time (haha)! |
I do it - Chanel is always the Mob guys smart-mouthed girlfriend - and Cheri is ALWAYS the valley girl ! I have a blast interpreting their playing and making up scenarios for them - Chanel will actually talk for herself though - she has lots of funny barks and noises.....I taught her to say MaMa in her own way - When I say it - she says it back to me and imitates the syllables perfectly ~! |
My boyfriend and I are ALWAYS talking for our dogs! The weird thing is that he's usually Biddy & I'm usually Tucker because I do a better southern accent (ok - how crazy is that?!). |
Biddy and Tucker shoud have Boston accents!! (oh wait, forget it. Then I would try to date them -- i love the Boston accent!) I talk for Stewie, too. "GWWWWAMPA? Do you think I'm soooooo nice?""DAAAAD!!! Pway wif me!!!!" |
I love this site! Just when you think you've lost your mind you find out everyone else does the same thing. I think Yorkie lovers are a breed of their own! |
I always do that!!!! And my hubby thought I was crazy for doing that! But there have been many times I have caught Ray doing the same thing. Then I called him onit, soo he does it all the time!!!! He says he just couln't help it--he's soooo ccute!!!!! |

LOL - no way!! I hate my Boston accent! Any child of mine will pronounce their "R's" (even if they don't really talk!! LOL) |

Yes, I am guilty as well. We started it because my poodle is kindof a "goofy" dog so my daughter's boyfriend talks for him in a "goofy" voice. It's hilarious. Hefner has a Russell Crowe Austrailian accent, Billie, is british and Chai is our southern Belle! |

Oh my gosh that sounds soo cute, I want to hear it!!!!!!!!! What a smart little girl you have. My old mutt baby could do "I love you" and it sure was special. |
LOL.... this thread made me think!! We do it all the time and didnt even realize it  lmao The expression on their faces say it all, they are so honest and never hide what they feel, i love them SO much! Chelsey gave me her first smile today i couldnt believe my luck, our passed yorkie smiled a lot and we didnt think we would get another smiling pawpaw :D we are really blessed with BOTH our girls!! |
THIS IS CRACKING ME UP! Another way to torture my husband!!!! muhahahahahahaha! Daddy, can I go wif you?! I love it! |
