Everyone Thinks Betty is a BOY! Every time we are out somewhere, people say "What a cute little guy", or "He's so adorable" :( I wonder if Betty is getting a complex?! She even has a pink leash and harness! Maybe she's gay... LOL! |
A complex. I'm sure she could care less if that makes you feel any better. |
We were at my sons soccer game on Sunday and Autumn was sitting on my lap dressed in a pink ruffled dress with yellow flowers on it, with a pink leash and some man asked me if she was a boy or a girl..............I wanted to ask him if he was a man or a woman. But I refrained since my kids were standing right there.:aimeeyork |
I feel your Pain everyone assumes Peeka is a girl but he is 100% all boy! |
I had someone write me that wanted to breed their female with Piper. I told them 1st of all she is a girl, 2nd she is fixed. She's my Tom Boy. |
thats funny because my mom till this day still refers lexi as he. and people on the street say is he a male or female.. duh!!! shes wearing a pink bow and purple harness and purple or pink leash.. dont understand it sometimes, but i doesnt bother me.. she knows shes a girl |
It is reverse here-- Everyone thinks Keeley is a girl! I know Keeley is a girly name, and yes sometimes he has been known to have a ponytail:rolleyes: . But believe me, he is ALL BOY! I don't ever take it personal, some people really don't know (or care). And I can understand that. I knew one person that called EVERY dog a boy and EVERY cat a girl. It was just how she saw it in her mind. |
Awe poor Betty. Ever since this: "Real Men Wear Pink" thing putting your baby in pink no longer reads as the dog being a female. I took Faith out once decked out in pink sweater and collar (not just any kind of pink but bright pink) and everyone thought she was a boy anyway. I know they could care less, but it bothers me. *sigh* |

Ah.... poor Betty. The important people in your life know your a girl. :) |
My dad still calls Grayson a girl when he comes to visit, I think he is used to saying she as he has a girl shih tzu. I used to correct him to say no HE but heck I have given up. |
do you put bows in her hair? |

It happens to us all the time. Don't worry, the animals do not understand what is being said, and even if they did, they could care less. We have a Shih Tzu, a Yorkie and 2 cats. My Shih Tzu (Princess Jasmine/aka:Jazzy Girl) wears only a sweater/coat when it is cold, but always her hair in a top knot with a bow in girly colors and has a female name, yet ---people call her a boy all the time. My Yorkie (Miss Mickey) wears dresses--all the time, her hair is always in a top knot with bows, uses a pink harness, leash etc., has a semi female name--people call her a boy all the time, also! My one cat (Ariel), is a typical tabby cat, striped fur-grey/black colored. She is a little over weight (all right, alot over weight), has a female name! People call her a boy all the time. My other cat (Sebastian) is mostly Angora, so his coat is absoultely gorgeous. It is long, soft as cotton and really very stunning. He has a very masculine name--people call him a girl, ALL THE TIME! Go figure???? |

i guarantee you that would not even stop the questions!! both of my sons were born with more hair than most little girls and they had very long eyelashes to boot. well we would be out shopping and here is this cute little boy with all this curly hair BUT he would be dressed obviously i thought as a little boy - baseball cap,high-top Nike shoes and football/baseball outfit and i would still be told "oooh! SHE is so cute!" and i would say "no SHE isn't! she is a he!":D |
