Does It Really Matter?? A friend of mine is interested in getting a Yorkie. She contacted some breeders w/the ytca but they were all out of her price league ($1800) and up. She looked in the local paper and found someone w/4 pups that are AKC, she went and saw them but she said the breeders home was very smellly and not so clean. Although she said the pups seemed to be well taken care of she could not get passed the home. She then went a saw some pups that will be available starting next week sometime. They are not AKC but are APR. She said the breeder was supper nice, when she was there someone else had come (a repeat customer) looking to purchase another one. She is not looking to show the dog but just to love him/her as most of us are as a pet. Does it really matter if they are w/APR and not AKC???? thanks for your help:aimeeyork :animal36 :animal-pa |
It doesnt matter at all if she isnt breedng or showing them |
It doesn't matter in this case, because your friend is more comfortable with the APR breeder than the AKC breeder, and I think thats what matters most. |
Heck no I wouldnt think it would matter, if all she is looking for is a nice pet. If the dogs were clean and looked healthy...I say she should go for it. |
I agree w/ everybody saying it doesn't matter in this case... Just be careful and take a healthy furbaby:angel2:;) Katiuscia & Maggie & Hannah... |
Since she's just looking for a pet, I would say it doesn't matter. Remember that anyone can breed AKC registered dogs, but not everyone is a good breeder. If she got a good feeling from this breeder and no red flags, I would say that's most important. |

I say go for it. Mine are spayed and neutered and I haven't bothered to get the papers. They are family |
