Hair bows? Just curious, where do you guys get your hairbows and elastic bands at a reasonable price? I looked at some online and they were ridiculously priced and not THAT cute. Also, how in the HECK do you get your babies to stay still to put a topknot in? It took me 20 frustrating minutes to get Brooklyn's elastic band in her hair, and even then it was lopsided lol. She's such a tomboy!!! |
I put mine on her back on my legs and do her hair that way, easiest for me. The reason you'll prob find that they are pricey is because they are very time consuming to make. |
I thought I would try making my own bows after seeing the prices online...boy what a mistake. I think I spent $100.00 on supplies and then only made a couple so far. I would rather buy them. hahaha Live and learn. They are very time consuming. |

I buy the metal clips at Michaels and then just add my own ribbon or beeds. Quite cheap. You can buy them at Petedge at a very reasonable price. They have a 100 count bow deal from $9.99 to 15.99. www.petedge.com/accents |
you could try ebay... |
http://smalldogforum.com/index.php?showtopic=49 you could make your own very easliy, heres a step by step guide! :) |
I purchase mine from www.lawdogbows.com. She does a great job, and she has "puppy bows" that are great for when they are smaller. You can choose elastics or clips and they are only $2.00 to $4.00 per bow. Hope that helps. |
Louie's fur is just not long enough for a bow yet, and we didn't know if he would look a bit "girlie" with one so he has a mohawk at the moment, looks good with his little black jacket, with security written on the back, well, he is 2lb now:eyetearss |
Was going to suggest that myself. LOL. I have bought a lot of bows on ebay and my babies wont even wear them. I think its just me thinking maybe 1 day |
I make my own. You can get elastic bands at dollar stores and Sally beauty supply has 250 for .69. Also check out what they have for babies at Walmart or other such storesl |
We use PetEdge also. We order the plastic tub of Leopard bows, they come on a well made metal clip that stays in their hair quite well. There is 14 0r 15 in the tub and about $15.00...Much worth it. I 've tried to sit and make them too and thought...blah, foget this!!!! |
Sorry...theres 34 in a tub for $15.00, LOL much better huh?? |
I got some boy bows from http://www.valsdivados.com/ a couple of weeks ago. They are beautiful--every one is like a little work of art. :D She also has an eBay store. You can buy the bows individually or in collections. She does a fabulous job!:animal36 |
