Gum in hair... Oh Peeka...He went in my bag and pulled a piece out and started to chew it, and now he has gum stuck in the hair between his toes  . Anyone know how to get it out w/o cutting it? I dont think I can keep him still....I could if I tried, but I want that to be the LAST option lol. |
Yes, take peanut butter and work it into the gum really good and just comb out. Works like a charm. ;) |

My mom used to use it on me when my brothers would put gum in my xtra thick to the butt hair bc they thought it was funny and Ive used it on my neice's freakishly thick hair because HER sister said she didnt have another place to put the gum  |
thanks everybody...can he eat it? You know he's going to try if its sweet and on his feet. |
I have heard put an ice cube on it and it makes it brittle and you can comb it out. |
Yes, peanut butter was the first thing I thought of when I saw your post. It should work great. It probably wouldn't be bad if he ate it, but try to keep it on long enough that you can comb through it and get the gum out. Good luck! :D |

If its just plain peanut butter it shouldnt bother him. I give Sam peanut butter in his baby kong and it doesnt bother him at all. You would only need a lil bit to make it work. It really sticks to the gum and brings it out. |
Try baby oil. I used that one time to get it off of my son when he was little. It came right off.... |
Ok My first ? is it a sugar free gum??? It is toxic to dogs http://www.avma.org/press/releases/061001_xylitol.asp second to get it out fast I would cut it or you can use vegtable oil it will work faster than the peanut butter. good luck. |
Yeah- I just heard that on good morning america this morning. Any gum/candy/desert that has xylitol in it is VERy bad for dogs. Apparently a 20 lb. dog can't eat 2 peices of gum without serious problems.. That being said, Duncan got a timy piece of gum too (he was fine) and I just had to cut it out.. |
Thanks everybody, it worked like a charm(minus the peanut butter footprint on the carpet lol). But he didn't digest the gum, he grabbed it, stretched it while trying to get part off...and I grabbed him and took it. |
Olive oil works good.. |
