Who Wakes You Up In The Morning, And How Do They Do It ? 2 Attachment(s) :clock: :animal37 :animal37 :animal37 :bleh: As soon as it's light, (...YIPEE BREAKFAST TIME) all the three dogs come up from under the covers, one by one.... Tara shakes her long coat in your face, puts her tongue in your ear, right in, ....then licks your eye-lids and licks your nose....you open an eye, and she waves her paw in the air at you....then starts the growling and scrubbing all over the top of the covers. Tammy starts by cleaning you all over - pushing her firm warm wee tongue all around your face, and then gives you a smile and a clawy paw ! Casper, CHEEKY SMILER, well, you meet his gaze over the top of the duvet - don't open an eye, because you are met with his HUGE TEETHY GRIN which makes him snort and cover you in flem, then he sticks his horrible long tongue into your mouth as he knows you can't help but smile back at his grin and your mouth is open ! ......WHAT DO YOURS DO ? :animal-pa Debra x x x x |
Jake wakes me up everyday by standing on my chest and putting his face right against mine and staring at me lol |
bella wakes me up everyday by crying and starring at me... and if i dont repsond right away she gets on top of me lays down right in front of my face..and paws me while making this half crying half growling sound....its too cute for words...lol:) |
OCH!! There is nothing better than sweet Yorkie kisses first thing in the morning!!!!:woof: :Puppy2: Mango puts her face RIGHT in front of mine and holds my nose between her teeth, then just lies there staring at me. We have a snuggle, then stagger downstairs to pee.....(Mango does the peeing.... I do the staggering...:tired: :tired:) |

LOL how bout Teddy wakes us up by jumping up and down on the side of the bed and whining really loudly until we get up. London walks all over me until I wake up. |
Awwww, such cute stories! But I'm affraid I have a lazy boy who isn't much of a morning guy. We are generally late nighters around here so we are usually getting up at around 9:00. I get up and use the bathroom and then come back to get Teddy. He sleeps at the foot of the bed. I come back and say morning Teddy! He just looks at me like "what?" but never moves! I have to get him put his harness on and carry him to the door to go out. After a stretch or two then he starts to wake up. :animal36 He has never woken us up we always wake him up! LOL Kim |
Well I get woken up at about 4am with a pawing of my arm and shoulder (and head if I don't wake up) to let his royal Dougal-ness under the covers. Then when my alarm goes off and I've woken enough to register that I really have to get up I say "rise and shine" and that's usually enough to set off a series of stretches and yawns (still under the covers) in the Wee. She then gets ear scritchings and then she has to get off the bed so I can get up. Dougal then stretchs and flops his way out of bed. None of us is what you might call an early riser! |
Cute thread....I think I get the Stare down around 5:30 am and when I actually look at them they dive bomb my face lol....they usually hang with me while I drink coffee outside and then go back to their pillow in my office where I lay on the floor with them and kiss them good morning for real....it's a ritual |
Pixie the first to wake always by 6 am (uggh) will walk up the side of my body and kiss my face then Maya will come out from under the bed and come to my side of the bed and starts barking. Cali just ambles on over and kisses me. |
6:30 sharp...every morning...Maggie is in my face giving me kisses on my mouth. Well..I don't know about you...but when I am sleeping, my mouth might not always be closed tightly. So 9 times out of 10, her tongue is IN my mouth!!!!!!!!!!!  little snot! But it never fails. 6:30...and she is ready to go out. I guess I should be thankful she sleeps through the night with me and holds her pee that long. the other 2 dogs are dead to the world. we have to practically drag them out of bed LOL |
Oliver is a lazy little guy. Loves to sleep in the morning all tucked in under the blankets. If he does get up before I do, he'll do his business (he's box trained), then he'll just keep nudging my face with his cold little nose until I wake up because he wants me to cover him again. No, we're not spoiled! |
hehe great stories! ive only had my baby two nights, and both morning shes been waking me upwith whines, cus she wants to go for a wee wee! |
Since I can't stand a hot room, our heat is programed to go off at night and come on in the morning. The click of the thermostat when the heat is coming on wakes Bubba and he gets up (about 5am) if you don't pay any attention he will get back in bed after wandering around the room looking for shoes, socks and trouble etc.. At 6, if I'm working that day, the alarm goes off and both Bubba and Sissy go into attack mode trying to get to it to kill it. If I'm not working Bubba will eventually get annoying enough to get my husband up (by 6:30) but Sissy will stay put until I get up unless he picks her up and takes her to the back door. |
How cute ;) Ok my Trixie showers me with kisses all over the place and then runs to go potty :D Princess Pia just stretches and waits for me to shower her with kisses  She doesn't think that she should have to move much in the mornings, LOL :p My pekingese Snoot rolls over and wants his belly rubbed and then gets all exicted ;) |
Max my little 3 pounder sneeks up on my left side. I feel him crawling up my arm. My eyes open & it's a free for all for the other 2. Piper leaps to beat Misha to my face. I roll over & place then on the floor, only to have them race up the stairs to do it all over again. They won't get up unless I'm up. So I pull the covers back sit up & then it's a race down the stairs to the kitchen for breakfast. |
oh lexi, lexi,lexi.. between 6 and 630 if i even dare to make a move under the covers, thats it.. lexi is up, crawls from under the covers righ to my face and licks my eyeballs, my nose and trys to get into my mouth. i turn over, she goes into the living room and rings the bell, i ignore her, she comes back and starts all over. even on the weekends, i cant get to sleep past 7am on the weekends.. im soooooooooooo tired.... but its all about lexi |
Ohhh, this is making me blush!!! My Golden Retriever starts pacing outside my bedroom door promptly at 6am. She is 11yrs and can't sleep in the room as she snores VERY loud so she is right outside the door, My little cooper sleeps on the bed, he barely moves as he is so warm under the covers, and Bentley (for now) is in his crate next to the bed and he just kinda starts to move about. Once I am actually out of bed then all heck breaks loose...its a daily routine and they have it down pat, no breaks on the weekend either...My furry 6am alarm clock doesn't recognize Saturday and Sunday sleep in?!!! |
Gypsy will laze in bed with me all day if she could! lol. She doesn't move when my O/H gets up, she just looks at him. Just before he leaves for work he comes back in the bedroom to give us both a goodbye a kiss, (her first for some reason! lol) and then she snuggles up to me and goes back to sleep. She'll stay in bed till she knows I'm awake, don't know how she knows, and then she'll come roll all over the bed and give me kisses and she'll have belly rubs. After 10 minutes of saying hello to each other we get! |
I envy all of you who have Yorkie Alarm!!! Momiji is a lazy one, she will sleep in all day if I didn't have to work. On the other hand, my last 2 yorkies I had woke me up every morning with wet kisses to all over my face, just like everyone else. I loved that so I miss that.... Buuuut one good thing is Momiji won't wake me up on the weekend when I sleep in!!!! |
believe me you dont want a yorkie alarm... you really get no sleep. not even during the night,. in and out of the covers. all night long |
funny stories, Kodak is usually moving when I get up, he doesn't wake me anymore. Kamari whines till someone gets her from behind her gate. |
Well actully i wake up first, usally about 7am. First thing I do is go to the loo with the 2 girls sitting on the bathroom mat watching me. he he. Then its downstairs and out the back for them till they go. Then after that them 2 go back to bed. lol. They are so lazzzzzyyy |
Gracie is not a morning person. When I start to stir, she wakes up, then she comes up and licks whatever part of my face is exposed. She usually starts with the lips, then the eyelids, then the nose, then proceeds to give my face a good washing if I am not awake by then! Too cute. |

Katy is usually very good and waits in her bed for us to get out of bed. (Her bed is right next to our bed on my DH side. But if we sleep in and are in bed past 9:00 she will stand by the end of the bed and give 1 sharp loud harrrrrfff. She will then wait a couple of minutes. If there is no response she will do it again and again. Each time waiting a minute between barks until you roll over, reach down and play. Oh yeah she has a snooze button. You can tell her to stop and go back to bed. It will usually give you another 10 minutes. |
Simon and I would LOVE to sleep in but Hallie won't let us. I usually wake up to Simon curled up next to my belly and Hallie licking my face. Then if I don't get up she jumps on Simon's face. Hallie isn't much of a sleeper, she stays up late and gets up early :) So I get up with Hallie while Simon stays in bed :) |
Keeley DOESN'T wake us up. It is actually the other way around. I have to wake him up with kisses, and even then, he scoots away from me or covers his little face with his paws and goes back to sleep. He'll sleep in until noon if he has the chance. It totally cracks me up!!!! |
First.. Layla would like to extend an offer to Simon to stay at our house.. she LOVES to sleep in and woudln't mind a bit of company ;) Layla is SO lazy in the morning.. she sleeps in a crate and i have to get her up.. and even then she'll come upstairs and sleep until about 11- 11:30! |
:D It is so interesting to read the different ways our Yorkies wake us up. Siu Pao wakes us up usually at 7am. He'll whine and jump by the side of the bed until either hubby or I wake up to serve his royal breakfast. If hubby wakes up to tend to him during weekdays, he'll leave me alone until hubby goes out of the door at 8am+. The second hubby leaves, he immediately run to the side of my bed and starts whining. |
