Here's a link you might want to look at: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=bell Also, if you use the search word, "bell" there are other posts. Good Luck! |
I would suggest just going to the craft department in Walmart and buying some yarn or ribbon and a few large bells. Just make sure that the bells hang low enough for the dog to reach comfortably. I followed a link before, and the bell product was $12 or $13. I think if you made your own it would only be a few dollars. My dad did this with his dogs, and they just nudged the bell with their noses when they had to go out. Good luck! |
I want to know - how do you make them ring it? Is it instinct? I am going to try it, just to see if mine can do it. Sounds like another way to make me slave after this family  |
My Sophie rings a bell to go outside. I just hung a christmas bell because at the time that is all I had. At first she just rung it out of curiosity and every time she did we made a big deal and let her outside. And when I wanted to let her out I would move her over to the bell and ring it and let her out. She picked it up really quick. Good luck and be patient. :p |

LOL, I know what you mean. I am always busy trying to run around and take care of everything. Now a silly question, quints as in kids or puppy, I ask only becasue I am the mom of triplets (kids) :p |
Thanks. When I get a chance to get out (it's storming like the end of days here) I'm going to buy some bells. I hope it works. My dogs have no signals about when they want to go outside. |
