Playing while Mommy drudges in the yard 4 Attachment(s) My son and I spent all day Friday working on my goldfish pond. We added more gravel and tumbled bricks around the edges along with a pond "spitter" and plants. Lucy and Rebel had a ball playing while we worked. These are pics of the babies playing and of the pond when we finished. |

I've never done anything like this before, so I only have 4 koi in there. They're about 5 inches long. I have 15 mixed regular goldfish. I'm learning from the internet and books. So far, so good. I've lost 3 of the goldfish and the koi seem to be very happy. I have pics of Rebel checking out the goldfish. He loves to stand beside the pond and watch them. |
The pond looks wonderful! The furbabies look like they were happy to be outside. My Bruizer loves to go out even when its cold. My mother has a BIG KOI pond, we couldn't understand why the didn't live long untill further research on the internet and from a KOI breeder we discovered they need special chemichals. Now they do wonderful and grow fast. She drains the pond in the winter and puts the KOI in a 55 gallon tank (inside) but at the end of winter we have to watch it cause when the snow starts to melt it leaves water in the pond (that is 5 ft deep) and stray cats drownd. we have found two in the last 3 years. They must go up to it trying to drink and fall in. so we are now looking for some nice looking fence to put around it so animals cant get to it. Good luck on your KOI and you did Great on the pond! |
looks like everyone had a great day! your babies are beautiful! |
