she needs a bath soooooooooo bad... she just got spayed on friday...how long do we go without a bath? I will call the vet in the morning and ask...but do any of you know? it has been raining a lot here and she gets so nasty every time she goes out to potty :( |
You need to wait ten days |
that is what I thought :( what do I do until then? sponge bath?? |
You could as long as no water gets on the incison. I just used baby wipes |
A few days after Tucker was neutered he had a pee accident in his crate (the one and only time ever had to be when he had stitches). I gave him a real quick shower in the kitchen sink with the hand sprayer, but no standing water. Thankfully no problems. If it just her feet that are messy, you could just bathe them in a shallow bowl. Julie and Tucker |
I was going to suggest baby wipes...Seems like that, or a light sponge bath, are your only options... |
baby wipes and maybe a spritz of doggie-cologne behind the neck |
you could buy a bottle of leave in scented shampoo and moisturize. spray it on and rub it in her hair, just not under her stomach. brush and fix her hair if ya like. I have some I bought at pet depot and it does help, tho it dont totally make their smell go away. mine smells like baby powder, i've used it when she had a bath maybe 2/3 days ago if we happen to be having company and I just want her to look a little cleaner and smell better. Just DO NOT spray under her, just her back and sides and feet. that should help but I wouldnt do it just for one time. I think I paid about 9 dollars for a spray can of it. But it can come in handy at other times to, like when I used it. its in an aerosol can like hair spray. thats the only thing I know to tell you. when maggie was spayed, I couldnt hardly wait to give her a bath. |
