Finding The Perfect Puppy
 
We have a choc. lab, but she is getting older. My mom has been looking around the paper for yorkie puppies! we have gone to PetLand... Just to look I don't support buying from petshops and after talking to my mom, she doesn't either :D

well, we saw an adorable little guy, and he loved to be held, but wasn't very active. My mom asked if that could mean he was scared, or maybe taken away from his mom too soon (2-3-2007 was his b-day)

I guess i was just wondering how a well rounded puppy should act at 12 weeks. thanks!!!

At 12 wks, a puppy should be playful :)

If you're looking for a yorkie in OH, try www.stellaryorkies.com She's a member of YT. She's a wonderful breeder and she takes great care of her adult yorkies and pups. She does testing on her adults before breeding to make sure they are free of genetic diseases/defects and she tests her pups before she places them. She also breeds beautiful Biewers :)

Also, when looking for a puppy, make sure that the breeder offers at least a 1yr health guarantee for genetic diseases/defects.

If you really want a perfect, well rounded puppy, look on YT or for reputable breeders in your area. Buying puppies from the paper or from the petshop increase your chances of getting a less-than-healthy puppy. Good luck! :D

lksdolls http://www.garlinyorkies.info/ is also in Ohio. I LOVE her dogs and her puppies are always soooo cute.

Not all are active around company. My boy is 23 weeks old and I had him to my grandmothers yesterday to let my aunt see him. He layed on my lap and was very shy. When we got home he runs and plays. Just not around strangers.

That's true :) I have a 9 1/2 month old maltese who is kind of shy around other people. She will just sit in my lap until she opens up to the other person, even though she's usually very playful.

I am in Akron now, but will be moving to Toledo soon.
I am not quite sure when my mom will be ready to do it, so we are looking around the northern ohio area.

I have a 13 week old male pup for sale. I am in Geauga county. He is 3lbs very happy, playful and a little love bug.

if he was born 02/03, he is only ten weeks old. but, most are playful during this time. I have two males this age and they play all the time. of course, they are still with their mama because i usually keep them until twelve weeks before letting them go to their new homes. I did let one go at ten weeks against my better judgement but she was ready and is doing great.
