Bed Bath and Beyond Has anyone taken their furbaby's into Bed Bath and Beyond? |
Yes, and noone said anything to us :) We don't like to take our babies where they're not welcome. I think as long as he/she is in a carrier or stroller, you should be fine, but all stores are different, so I don't know for sure. |
I've seen other people's furbabies in there before. |
We've taken ours many times. They ride in the shopping cart! No one has said anything to us and the staff comes to say hi and pet them. Ditto for Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy. Our local Barnes and Nobel is dog friendly too. |
Everytime I go to PetSmart (4 or 5 times a year) we run into Bed bath and Beyond. I never try to hide the furkid I happen to have in my arms. I just hold my head up high and act like I am supposed to be there! So far the only commotion has been at the register when they finally NOTICE my furkid and want to do the kissyface thing. |
Its nice to hear they are pet friendly...I dont take my dogs to public places besides pet stores..Im going to have to give it a whirl sometimes...even though we dont have that particular store here... Dawn |
i think so. i've been there many times with TWO of my babies, and no one has ever said anything to me. i just carry them in my arms or either in their carriers. the associates usually want to pet my babies, or say nothing at all. it's really nice to find places that accept dogs. nowadays it's hard to bring them anywhere =( |
I've taken Kona in with me. Nobody said a word. I've also taken her to Home Depot without anybody saying anything. |
I'll try next time when planning some shopping on the weekend - some of you are lucky, the Home Depots I've been too have a strict no pet policy :( . I took Pepper with me to the local flower shop and bakery - not even in a carrier, I was kid of expecting them to show me out but they just oooohed over Pep :D |
Mine like Home Depot the best! Well aside from Petsmart.. |
good topic I always wander where should i take them and where should I not. Well ladies lets make a list of possible places that wont say anything about our babies. So far: BBand b. home depot lowes best buy barnes and noble anything else?? Do you thing that this is a nation wide policy or it just depends on the store.! I hate to leave without my babies. I think that as long as they do not sell food everything is right. |
I have taken chester in there several times, everyone just smiles, and I just carry him. |

I think it depends on where you are at and who "catches" you or the MGRs mood that day OR if there is unloving furbaby person in there that is jealous bc your baby acts better than her 2 legged kid  lol Sam has gone everywhere w/me, including Wal~Mart. He was in his purse completely zipped up. He has even gone to the movies and a Mexican restaurant on the patio...like I say, it just depends. He is always in his carrier tho...except for when the workers bring him out! |
ya they dont mind.. |
Oh, yaaaaaaaaaayyy!! :yay_jump: I've spent enough $$$ in there, I should be able to take just about anything/anyone with me! LOL |
So I think this is interesting. I am a young woman :) putting myself through college and I am a manager at the McDonald's in my town. The other day a girl walks in with her chihuahua puppy ..granted he was sort of in a carrier, but everyone knew she had a dog. Now, I AM a dog lover on every level, but I was flabbergasted. If our health department was there, we could have been shut down :( Of course, another manager politely asked her to take her order to go..we did allow her to place her order and wait for it...but I just thought this thread was interesting because while I take Brookie everywhere also, I was just baffled by this young woman, I mean some of us might hide our babies in purses and what not, but as far as restaurants go, ANY animals are considered a critical food safety issue and you can be fined/shut down.... SO I am going to say that McDonald's can definitely not be on this list..LOL :) But alas, someday maybe the health department will calm down, and I can take Brookie to work with me !! :) |
Yes, we asked the manager the first time. Now, we go in regularly. They are in the same strip as Petsmart and Michaels (we go in there too). |
I don't shop there but I have taken my furkid into Target before. He just rode in the kid-part of the cart. I was actually surprised no one said anything because people around here are not friendly at all. Like a previous replier said, I just held my head up high like there was nothing at all wrong with it. I think it depends on your area and the type of store it is... I wouldn't take him into a grocery store or anything. Just be prepared to encounter a nasty associate that might try to kick you out! |
dogfriendly.com has a list of stores in your area that are pet friendly. Check them out! www.dogfriendly.com |

i agree!!! i don't see why BBB would mind - there is no food in the store. well not like a grocery store i mean. i also think it has alot to do with what time you go - if they have a little more people in the store then they may flex their muscle! i have seen a lady in lowes with her cute little pug and he was sitting in the front - where you put your kids - and as sweet as could be! thanks for the dog friendly link! i have never heard of it so i will check it out! |
