Help with bath after spay Xena was spayed on Tuesday and the post operative instructions say "no swimming or bathing for 10 days". That is still 6 days away and she smells gross! Plus she is scooting on her bottom, which she never does, so there must be irritation there. Do you think I could cover the incision with first aid tape and give her a shower? |
Maybe shes just feeling uncomfortable/I would take the advice of the vet and just leave her. Sure just think in 6 days you can give her a nice bubble bath |

I'd follow doctor's orders - but maybe use the baby wipes or just wet a paper towel and wash her face and bottom good. Poor baby, maybe stay down wind of her? :D |
*shugs* none of my babies are spayed so i'm sowie i'm unable to help you but there are alot of lovely ladies here that will be more helpful than me !! :( |
Thanks for the wipes and dry shampoo suggestions. I'll have to give it a try. She wants me to hold her so bad, but P-U!!!:D |
bathing I made a sink full of warm water with her shampoo in it and just used a wash cloth and cleansed her and then I used a clean wash cloth and rinsed almost as good as a bath you just cannot submerge the stiches or soak them. |
