New Kong
 
I just bought a new kong for my babies but they dont really want to chew it. instead they just sit and lick the end. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so how did you get them to chew it?

Did you buy the filler for the kong so they have something to lick out of it when they chew on it? If not, you can always fill it up with peanut butter and stick it in the freezer to let it harden and then they will just go nuts over it!

I put peanut butter in it but I didnt freeze it. Do you think that is my problem?

They sure do! Fred goes crazy and will be occupied for atleast 2 hours lickin' that thing! Have you tried bouncing it around? Maybe they'll start chasin' it and then start chewing on it

Hmmmm... I don't know. The reason I freeze mine is bc the peanut butter gets EVERYWHERE if I don't freeze it first. Mine love peanut butter though!

I bounced the kong for my lucy. she is a pound dog and very skiddish so when I bounce it she gets scared but I will try and bounce it with linus.

So I'm sitting in the other room getting some stuff done, when what do I see? My boyfriend asking for advice on YT! He's the one who has been on this thread the entire time. He looked a little embarrassed when I caught him, but I thought it was the cutest thing ever. Even he's becoming an addict!!!! :D

:eyetearss That's hilarious! He should make his own name on here, too. lol Atleast he doesn't think your crazy and wouldn't mind joining you. My boyfriend thinks I'm an addictive nutcase!

Nooooo Waaaaay! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! Let him know that he sounded just like one of "us" conerned mommies! Nat is right... he should just register and join the gang! We could always use a little testosterone!

I told him he should, and he said he would just leave it to me to take care of our babies. Trying to sound all macho. He didn't fool me a bit. Now I'm going to have to go back and read what all I have posted to see if it was me or him!!!! As for the Kong, I bought my baby a $10 peanut butter holder. He's more interested in playing with a wadded up piece of paper!

I put some dog food inside little pieces that will come out when they get to it.Then i put peanut butter on both ends they play with it for hours.

That's a good idea...I'll try that. I tried freezing it, and they licked out all the peanut butter they could, and after that they just ignored it.

Hi do you put real peanut butter in the kong? (stupid question?) lol I have them at home, my mom picked them up and I didnt know what to put inside.

What is a kong? I've heard about it from others but I don't know what it is. Maybe Coco Bear will like it. :p
