Isn't is sad....... I've read in comments (fox or cnn) from people regarding the pet food horror. Some people have actually said "what's the big deal, its just a cat or just a dog". What's sad is these people have never known the love and just pure joy that comes from owning a pet. With their attitudes, they will probably never know this joy. I love my babies so much! I love my JPop because he was my first yorkie love. I love my Taz because he is such a good kisser and just a little sweetheart. I love my TJ because he is such a silly, goofy little 6 month old, and I love my new little baby Halo because she is such a little angel. I also love my 7 yr. old siamese cat, Sam, because he puts up with all the little yappers running around.:D But really, its a shame people feel this way.:( |
that's horrible.... |
id like to slap them people. thats awful these are people that prolly werent allowed pets as kids and so grew up hating them. my hubby was that way til i got a hold of him now hes always whining to his mom on why he was never allowed pets when he was a kid. my dogs and cats are part of my family and i would just feel horrible if any of them got sick and had so many problems. and people should have some empathy for these people that did. |
I don't understand people like that. I feel sad for them that they don't know the love that these little ones have to give. My yorkie babies are such a big part of my life I couldn't imagine life without them. |
   |
most likely they had a cat or dog...i must admit before ever owning a dog...i might have said the same thing... but your train of thoughts changes when you do own one or 4 in my case.. |
It is too bad that every single human being cannot experience the love and companionship that an animal generates. When I hear the comment "well, it was only a dog or cat, etc.", it makes me step back and realize they missed the connection in their lifetime. Every child should have a little furry friend to talk with when they are sad or alone. Usually children are so loving to animals, it is the grown ups who are indifferent. This forum demonstrates the love of animals. Some of us are more fortunate to be able to afford proper feeding and medical care; some are not so fortunate. The bottom line? We love our animals and do the best to take care of them. They are more than "just"...they are. |

People who never had animals growing up really do have a different take on it. And I feel sorry for them. There has never been a time in my life that there hasn't been a creature of some kind in my house. More often than not, it's been multiple numbers and species simultaneously. Some have only stayed for a matter of hours (baby birds, rabbits, squirrels, and once, a puppy that someone had dumped) but we always think of it as God sending them for some comfort and to keep them from dying alone. Other times, they stay for years and years. All but two of them (both Yorkies) were strays! |
That is the same type of people that call great basketball players nappy-headed hos! |
Whether they like animals or not is unbelievable to me that some people are so ignorant that they don't see the big picture:mad:... that this could even affect them at some point....as consumers what are we buying???? Needless to say I love my babies and I feel guilty for exposing my babies to the food that unscrupulous people sell. |
I know, that's so sad! Unfortunately, some people will never understand. The worst thing is that sometimes they are even harmful with their comments, like when you tell them how much you love your dog and how important it is to you, they look at you like you're weird or something, or they tell you, it's just a dog! like talking about a thing. |
So sad...Even if they don't have pets as member of their faimlies, the least they could do is be understanding of those that do... |
