HEY GROOMERS...Help!!! I'm looking for a good set of clippers.... I bought the wahl peanut clippers to trim maggie up but I also have a 6 year old cocker with VERY thick hair and am looking for a good set of clippers. I think I have asked this before but I am asking again :) what do your recommend? I had a set of andis in the past that worked great but I burned them up after about 2 years. I think I got one of the cheaper pair last time and am now willing to spend a couple hundred bucks if I need to. any advice on what to get and where???? thanks!!!!!!! daisy thanks you too....she really needs a hair cut :) |
clipper I have groomed for over 30 yrs...my favorite clipper is the Oster Golden A5-2 speed. I have only needed to buy two in all these years. You can buy a power booster for more power if needed. Oster was very willing to refurbise my old set, but there was a sale and I wanted a new one anyway.. Always buy from a dog supply or ebay...clipper blades are much cheaper in the catolog also. When I ordered my last set, Oster made a mistake and sent two, but charged for one...I called them and they told me to keep it..and there was no extra charge. |

I will look for those then. Thanks for the advice!!!!!! |
YorkieRose I am also in search of a really good pair of clippers but the dog is a Great Pyrenees. Would these work for that much coat? |
Oster's are great clippers for grooming. I also have Andis 2 speed cordless clippers. I don't have to worry about a cord getting in the way. |
cordless I think I might try a cordless with a large breed myself...and you can buy the power booster for heavy large breed coats with an electric one. You might contact a few breeders of these types of coats and see what they use before investing in a pair of clippers. |
I Am Also Looking To Get A Great Set Of Clippers...since I Have 4 Babies...i Would Like To Save Some Money By Grooming Them Myself...then I Can Use The Extra Money To Spurlge On Them Elsewhere...kekek |
