I only let my dogs lick me in the face..Karlee is just a kissing fool!! She lovessss to give kisses!! but no you are not a bad mom for not wanting them!

We don't do it , not because I think it is gross....but Gordon doesn't try it. He is a cuddler. When you pick him up he wants to cuddle in your arms and snuggle. I do kiss him on his head.

Puppy tongue kisses??? YEP, YOU BET!!!!!:D I kiss their little face, mouth tongue and they kiss my face and mouth. I LOVE their little pink tongues. Sometimes when they are licking "MY" toothbrush, I could just grab those little tongues and kiss them. :D They are not as germy as people. It's THEM that should be turned off by our nasty mouth. :D
Anyway, your not a bad parent just because you don't like puppy kisses. ;)

No puppy kisses in the mouth for me either....it's gross. He licks himself everytime after he pees....gross. I give him lots of hugs and he can lick my arm or hand.

I thought it was just me. Im glad you published this thread. I wanted to ask the question but thought I would get a lot of heat for it. I didn't grow up with animals either, my family still can't believe I have a dog. I love him to death as well but kissing on the mouth/face is not allowed. He will try to sneak one in though! (see pics)

I agree with everyone else, it is your preference, you are not a bad mom for not allowing it.;)

No mouth kisses here either. Maybe cheek and chin when he catches me. He gets lots of kisses on the head.;)

I just love puppy kisses. I am always with my babies and see their every move, I know how clean they are so I allow them to kiss me. My boy is the one that loves kissing...LOL

I don't have my yorkie yet but I have a dog I'm raising as a service dog, and I'm getting a mastiff puppy in May (then the yorkie will come hopefully next spring). I have to say that for me it depends on the dog and the mood I'm in. The service dog really doesn't give too many face kisses, so I never worried about him. I never let other people's dogs kiss my face (ew!), and I don't like when my mom's dogs kiss my face (their breath smells funny...). If one of my dogs have something nasty in his smell, I wouldn't let him kiss me, but I'd forget about that in about 10 minutes :D I hate the accidental tongue-in-the-mouth though...that weirds me out! And their saliva is kind of sticky...It really depends on my mood though...:animal36

I love love love puppy kisses and I know where her tounge has been.....
So I won't kiss her right after her private session.
And she is a poop eater so she gets brushing teeth before hand.
Buuuut she doesn't like giving me kisses.....
She gives plently of them to other people....
I'm little hurt but still love her to death!!!!!

Meeee too !! I LOVE letting my girls plant one right on my kisser in front of my dad - his eyeballs practacally fall out of his head LOL !!!

I'm very physical - with my kids and my dogs - kissing goes on all the time in my house...since my boys are grown now I kiss the girls good morning like I did my kids...I have no problem with anything about kissing them - some of you would be horrified at Chanels movie kisses lol - I taught her how to wiggle her head around like she's in a love scene......ewwwwwww !!! hahaha - I should video it just to gross some of you out LOL. I couldn't live without my yorkie kisses.

I had to post again - I forgot I had this picture....Here's Dr. Chanel, DDS (my little dentist) trying to slip me some tongue - don't look if you're squeamish about doggie kisses !! :eek: :eek: :eek: I LOVE THEM ! Then me and my baby in a makeout session lol - sorry !!! hahaha

My furbabies lick my on the face only by accident as I too do not liked to be licked. I do give them tons of kisses on their face and neck but try to avoid those wet lips of theirs :)

You being a bad parent, absolutely NOT.
