pet carrier for 12lb yorkie Does anyone have suggestions for a pet carrier for a larger yorkie? My yorkie is 5.5 pounds at 4 months. I think he is going to end up being a big yorkie. |
Have you checked Target yet? I've seen some nice, reasonably priced carriers there. Also, petsmart has some for $15 right now - good sizes too. |
I have the celltei pakopet medium. Here's the link: (it works great as a carseat, I also use it to take the cat to the vet) http://www.celltei.com/cecahca.html |
Here http://www.nextag.com/airline-approv...search-htmlare a couple of links that have them and at reasonable prices. Free shipping on these: http://www.americas-pet-store.com/pr...catid/246.html |
Mine I got at Target said it would hold up to 12lbs and the ones I bought from Big Lot for 12 bucks said up to 20 lbs. |
id suggest target as well :) |
I just got a very cool "coach like" carrier from ebay.. they have all sizes and it actually looks very nice. |
id say getting a stroller with a bigger baby a carrier is only good for quick errands otherwise he will et heavy i have 3 bigger boys(still small) any longer than 30 mins just gets to heavy he perfers a stroller more room |
My boy at 10lbs...even if he can still fit in a carrier bag, I can't hold him longer than 10 minutes...I am very petite though and my shoulder really hurts carrying him...If you prefer something longer term, you can consider those stroller/carrier/car seat products better value for your money at the end. |
I too use a stroller most of the time. The carriers weigh too much...I'm little too. |
I use a stroller for my two :) My boy is just over 10lbs and my girl is 3.5lbs, so they fit in the stroller comfortably. I never did find a carrier that I liked that was comfortable for Miko too, so we decided on a stroller :) |
