Hair in the face... Ok so I'm having a problem with my baby. Linus is 3 months old, and his hair is growing faster than our grass. It's gotten so long, that it keeps getting in his face. I'm scared to cut it because I'm extremely klutzy, and it's too short to put a topknot between his ears. Would it look silly to put them closer to his eyes, or can I slick it back with hair gel and make him a greaser or something :D . Anyone have suggestions for that akward stage? |
did you want to grow the hair out? or were you going to keep him in a puppy cut? |
I want to keep his hair decently long, not a full coat, not a puppy cut. Kinda in between. |
Linus is adorable !! Here's some help for you - http://yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7308 I'm sure there's alot more posts about this but this one was just recently discussed - When my girls had that in-between hair - I put little bows in there and did have it closer to the front of their heads - just don't put the bows in too tight ! |
Thanks so much! I think I'm going to try the bow thing in combo with some vaseline. I have tons of bows that I have made for him, and I can't wait to start trying to get them in! |
I had this same problem with Tino... I did the vaseline trick and it worked great. Before it was long enough to go between his ears, I was also having a hard time even getting a rubber band in, so I got those flat little metal barrettes from Target and put them in. They worked great and its really easy to put them in and take them out! |

All drugstores that sell Barbie Clips (for girls) carry them - Walmart also I think - |
I'm afraid to use the clips, metal or plastic, plastic especially. My babies pull them out of each others hair and I know they'd chew them. Probably it would be ok but it would freak me if they started to bleed from their mouths. I suggest making 2 little pony tails, one on each side. Sometimes it looks silly and sometimes it looks cute. I tried some little sparkly clippys and they were out faster than we got them in, along with some of his hair from him ripping it. Are the "french back" or whatever they are called better that the ones that just bend and snap into place? |

Those are really cute. I think that's what I'm going to have to do. He's going through a greasy stage right now too, so we are having an appearance nightmare! |
