Collars How old was your baby when they were able to fit into a collar? Vickie just turned 3 months and weighs about 2.5lbs and and still too little for her collars. I'd like to put one on her eventually for tags. :( |
what about a cat collar? or some people make collars that may be small enough like hipcathipdog i will try to find her webapge for you |
I'd never thought odf that. Good idea. :) |
here ya go http://www.hipcathipdog.com/ |
Thank you. |
Make sure you only use a harness to walk her though because their tracheas can be easily damaged. Small breed dogs are known to get collapsing tracheas, so walking them with the leash attached to the harness, not the collar is highly recommended. A cat collar might fit. Good luck! |
Jerzee is about 2 months old and almost hitting 1 pound. I found a collar for her on petedge, but it's pretty much just an accessory right now. I walk her with a harness. It's so much easier, plus she likes it more. As mentioned before, cat collars work well, or you can just find an adjustable collar. I like the ones with the clasps as opposed to the looping kind with the holes. |
My Marcel is only 1.5 lbs. right now and I MUST have a collar for his bell (and later for his tag). I use the collar only for those purposes. This website has FABulous collars: https://shop.cloescollars.com/splashPage.hg Plus, you can get the break-away version, which is so great for these tiny creatures...you never know what they'll get into. Best, Ann |
Thanks all. I think for now, I'll buy a kitty collar. Then order some online. I want a collar for tags. When she has all her shots and can be walked outside, I'm buying a harness. :) |
