One more horrible night...I can't take another one. 1 Attachment(s) Hi all Well, where should I start? I have a puppy named Boo-Boo.He is such a lovely boy. His sister is 1.5 kg and he is 1.2kg. At least he was yesterday.Today he is 1 kg. His coat is a lot curlier than hers and he had a ceasure 2 weeks ago. We have lost him for a couple of minutes because he couldn't take the anesthetic. But the vet brought him back to life and he did not have any brain damadge luckly. But last night he had a ceasure again. Almost as bad as 2 weeks ago, but lasted only for 6 hours as we have seen him on time. I am so upset and sad and angry. The vet thinks he has a liver shunt but he will have a scan this wednesday at the Bristol University in the UK. Hopefully they will find out for sure if it's that or not because the bile acid test came out normal. I am just so tired today and I wish I could do something to make his ilness go away...Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you so much Maria and Boo-Boo!!!:tinyheart Attachment 107297 |
aw i'm so sorry about Boo-Boo. hopefully its not liver shunt and something that can be easitly fixed. good luck at bristol U. |
I am so sorry you are going through this. I know how hard it is to worry about our lil furbabies. Hopefully they will find out what is wrong and get something done about it. Keep us updated on his condition. |
I'm so sorry BooBoo is sick. i hope they find out the cause and fix him right up. |
oh bless his little heart.. boo-boo you are in our prayers for sure. |
My Maltese has cluster seizures...which means they do not stop and we almost always have to rush her in for IV meds to make them stop. She has hydrocephalus. I wanted to share a website that is wonderful. They will email you info and also a home approach to admister valium yourself, if you are interested. They work with DVM's on the site. I hope this helps somewhat. At the very least, for me it was comforting to have people to turn to that understood what I was dealing with! http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-...m/site_map.htm This second site, I have not used or even read yet, but I just found it as well. http://www.canine-epilepsy.com/Resources.html |
I'm sorry your little BooBoo is having such a hard time - and you too! I'll send up a little prayer that everything will be fine. |
Poor little BooBoo. I'm so sorry you and he have to go thru this. You must be exhausted - mentally, physically and emotionally. Hopefully the vet will be able to diagnose the reason for the seizures and be able to make BooBoo feel better. |
Prayer's coming for BoBo. I hope they can get to the bottom of his problem so you can be at ease and he can get better. |

you are not alone Please know that you are not alone. There are a lot of us out there who are going through the same thing. Our little boy who we have had for about 11 weeks is having seizures and other symptons of liver shunt or mvd. Our tests ruled out liver shunt. We are waiting on more results. It is so hard to watch them go through the seizures, we feel so helpless. Keep us updated on your baby. I pray for you and your family. Take care. |
Prayers and well wishes coming your way. Hopefully they will find out what it is and be able to treat it. Please keep us updated on BooBoo's scan results. |
Oh, I would have written sooner if I had seen this... Bless all of you and add my prayers to the many... |
