advise on breeding I have a male and female yorkie. Female is 16 months weighing 4lbs. APR registered and had her first heat about a 2 months ago. more recently i decieded to get another yorkie. Male 13 weeks old and weighing 1.5 so i am thinking he will be small too. anyway i wanted to breed them however i am not that well educated yet. so not to jump the gun or anything but i am thinking about studding my male when he is old enough does anyone have any advise? |

Can not give you much advise for breeding but I will tell you something: please before you breed make sure that both of them are free of congenital diseases such as liver shunt. Perform bloodwork and more tests to be sure they are in optimal conditions to breed. Irresponsible breeders are the cause that all those congenital diseases are running around our babies. Please don't breed this female. She is too small and you may kill your dam if she has to deliver. If you want to breed you need a female 5-8#. |
