Should I be Worried? We had ham for dinner and left a few slices on the counter for my son who was on his way home. Our Siamese cat took the ham off of the counter and gave it to Annie without me seeing her. I don't know how much Annie ate, but her belly sure is bloated :( Is there anything I should do...she seems fine and is running around playing but I am worried. She was exactly 2 lbs this morning ((18 weeks old)). I never fed her table food. Kasey & Annie |
She will be fine. Table food especially pork products arent good for them because they can get pancreatus but one time isnt gonna hurt |
I don't feed mine ham but my grandparents pretty much fed thier s**tzu only table food which included deli ham on a daily basis and he lived to a ripe old age with no problems. Kim |
I wouldn't be too worried...... but I'm sorry, I just have to smile at the thought of that little 2 lb bundle with the little porky belly sticking out.:animal36 |
One time WILL hurt her if she ate much. i gave ceeby one fourth peice of deli ham and he nearly died. We didn't know for four days if he was going to live or not. |
she should be okaiz unless she shows signs of being sick...if not she's good to go !! just watch for a few days..:p |
That is the thing about these little dogs we never know. We had a birthday party years ago when I had Toto and he stole a hotdog weiner. He was at the Vet for 3 days and I thought he was going to die. He was passing pure blood out of his bowels. |
I'd contact the vet, and see what she/he thinks you should do. It's better to be safe then sorry. |
