Reason for lining dresses? Is there a particular reason to line the dresses that we make for our pups? I was just thinking about - some of the dresses I have made are lined and some are not, it just depends on the material that I use, but most of the clothes that we wear as humans are not lined at all unless they are see through to begin with... so is there a good reason, or just to make the underside of the dress look better? It seems to me that with two layers of material, it would be hotter on the furbaby? Just curious. What do you guys do? |
I think it makes the dresses look better. You can fluff out a lined dress better than an unlined one. Also, lined dresses are better for girls with soft coats. I'm sure that our creative seamstresses will find this thread soon. |
It can keep the hair from matting so bad. |
I love the dresses that are lined with satin. They keep my Jewels from matting |
The regular dresses I make are fitted loose and the only seam is down the middle of the chest. These dresses don't get lined. However, anything I make as a harness that is fitted is lined so it is nice and smooth inside to help reduce matting from a fitted garment. |

the only ones I don't line are the Denim dresses and Vest, but I like all the other to be lined. I think there more durable and just look a lot nicer. |
