Healthy human treats for our babies? With all this crazy food stuff going on, I'm looking at my moist treats going "I don't want to give these to my precious babies for fear it will hurt them" !!! What are some healthy people treats that our babies like that I can give to them? Mine get treats when they go potty, and when we have to go away and they have to go to their beds, and sometimes at ni-night time :) What is safe? |
carrots, cheerios, string beans, celery, |
Dried fruit such as dates, figs, prunes and apricots. Also peanut butter balls, home made dog cookies, Yogurt, and Gerbers toddlers Fruit Jucy. They are like gummy bears only a little softer. |
All the treats mentioned are really good healthy treats. |
Tia loves baby carrots. I'll even put 1 or 2 into her puppy kong to let her work on them. |
My girls get Cheerios now. They love them. In the summer Daisy got apples cut up. |
So none of these treats upset their tummy's???? Even apples????? What kind of cheerios??? Plain or yougart, or honey nut??? |
Here are a few things my babies LOVE: Honey Nut Cheerios (and regular Cheerios) Apples Peaches Melon Baby Carrots String Beans Mozzarella Cottage Cheese Plain Yogurt I also make them homemade goodies. |
Mine love Green apples, carrots, yogurt, cheerios and peanut butter. The peanut butter is stuffed in their kong. Bowie likes carob chip cookies too. |

Mine love cherios, mellon,, peaches, stawberies, carrots, string cheese, cottage cheese, yoqurt |
Great thread! Thanks...I've been really worried about treats since the recalls began. The carrots are somewhat returned to you, but they make great teethers for puppies. I don't think it hur5 them not to digest the whole thing. Should the green beans be raw or cooked? Judy |
Check out this thread this YT member posted, it is a recipe for dog treats:http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...28#post1013528 I tried it and it was very good!:) Dogs like bananas too!;) |

Ya know what? I've given my babies carrots, canned green beans, and apple pieces and always thought to myself "only give her a tiny piece!!!! I don't want to make her sick"!!! And here all along its what I SHOULD have been giving them!!!! |

I found a book at Barnes & Nobles called "The Ultimate Dog Treat Book", my precious babies have liked everything I have made them. Everything is made of natural ingredients, and you get more treats than the recipe states because you make the sizes smaller for our little babies. |
