Grooming is very expensive, I'm so glad you were able to help. If she can't afford medication, I'm sure she can't afford to groom, & doesn't know the 1st thing on doing it herself. So lucky Candy has you for a surrogate mother. Can't wait to see pictures. |
I'm glad that little yorkie found you! poor thing! Well, I'm sure that if the lady does not want to let her go, at least you can train her on how to be a responsible dog owner. |
Heck, why wait. Why not just tell the lady that you just fell in love with her when you were cleaning her up, and if she'd be willing to sell her to you. I bet she might jump on it since she really doesn't have the time or money to take care of the poor pup properly. |

awwww...that little yorkie was in need of some serious TLC and good for you giving it to her. I don't know what to tell you about trying to save her but maybe if you spend some more time with that family you'd get a better idea....as long as they're feeding her properly and she has shelter it's hard to say abuse or no abuse...but if you feel she WAS abused, hen I say do all you can to save her. But...if they're just ignorant about caring for a small dog - maybe you can teach them ?? Either way - you're a good person to be helping her |
How lucky is Candy that you moved next door.......hopefully things will work out well and either Candy's owner will start taking better care of her.....or you will get her......and you can take care of her......GOOD LUCK in which ever way it works out |
2 Attachment(s) Here is Candy...... Don't mind my house..this is the fixer upper I bought and we are still renovating. They had ugly colors yeah a pink family living room:eek: |

aw what a little cutie:) |
I think you did good :) Hopefully you can educate and help them. |
candy what about the little boy?Hs sounds like he would be heart broken if you were to take/cause her to be removed from the home and would you really want to continue to live next door to people you have hurt? I think you should try to educate the boy on proper care since she is his pet and talk to the mom again about the neds she needs. If all else fails try to buy her if you can take on another pet or call the animal shelter. grooming is secondary to health and she has to get that baby medical care. good luck and she is precious. |
I was thinking of the little boy also. you said he was asking you questions about how to care for her. I'm thinking even if the Mom sold her to you the boy would be the one hurt:( |

Mentioned that in a couple of posts above. The desire to do what is best of Candy must be handled with an effort to not scar or hurt the lil boy....it could be very devistating to him |
Great job!!! I agree that the little boy could be key to educating. Maybe buy him a yorkie book to read. That way you can go over the stuff in the book with him and be his mentor. He could become the next yorkie expert. That baby looks wonderful after your TLC! |
