My goodness! Is anything safe??? :thumbdown |
It's really getting scary. |
As of today, i started everyone on a real food diet. I just can take this anymore...you know that they are going to find more food that is bad, which a recall this big, there has to be more. |
i'm glad that i don't have that problem since they eat royal canin dry yorkie food. ;) |
I feed that too. |

To be honest, I don't even know how comfortable I'd feel with Royal Canin after the problems they recently had with their Veterinary formulas. http://www.aplus-flint-river-ranch.c...nin-recall.php |
Try Merricks....I did research on Merricks and all their factory plants are based in America. The main cause of recall was rat poison (the kind is illegal here in the states) and they think it came from factory plants in China. Go to merrickspetcare.com and you can read up on them. None of their products were recalled and they don't have subsidaries. I feed Sammie Merricks puppy care with organic chicken |

Slightly overcook rice or couscous the old fashion way in water in a pan on the stove. (No micro-waving) While cooking, add shredded carrots and minced fish or meat. (chicken, beef, turkey) When done, ad 1/2 teaspoon of Olive oil, let cool and ad a food supplement with minerals and vitamins (from either your vet or the pet store) You can precook and freeze portions. Take them out of the freezer the night before and let thaw in the refrigerator. For dogs and cats who only eat dry food if added wet food to it, ad Gerber's baby food to it. For those of you who are too lazy to cook for your pets, give them fat free table scratches AFTER washing it off from salt and sauces. Hope this nightmare will be over soon. |
*bangs head against wall* We switched to Royal Canin before we realized it was just the wet food. Then there was an overdose of Vitamin D in Royal Canin so we switched back to Iams dry. and now this! This is getting scary. |
as a vegan, i would not feed my dog iams food, it is incredibly crule and they test on animals... |

I'm way too lazy to remember to defrost for each meal. You can get precooked grilled chicken, so that's easy enough. Thanks, Judy |
